Hawkstrike smiled and said,"don't worry, even if you don't get her, there's bound to be another special she-cat in your life!" She started settling down into her nest and mumbled quietly,"Anything else I need to know..?"

She woke up and padded out of the den and went to the fresh-kill pile. Hawkstrike took a mouse and began to eat. She realized that Mysteryheart was already awake due to the fresh paw prints leading toward the Medicine Cat den. 'Cinderclaw!' Hawkstrike thought and raced over there to find her friend curled up next to him. Hawkstrike smiled and quietly padded out of the den, not wanting to wake them up.

he got up qnd followed mysteryhearrts scent it led to the med cats den.. he looked in and said "mysteryhe..." he trailed off as he saw her with cinderclaw a tear rolled down his cheek and he ran to the fresh kill pile to wail silently
"i loved her" he wailed out loud

Hawkstrike watched as Cloudstorm ran out of the den. She walked after him and sat down. "Don't be sad, maybe it wasn't supposed to work out with the two of you... Starclan probably wanted to save you the heartbreak of finally figuring it out. But hey! There's another chance, in your life, that maybe, you'll find your mate."

"I told you she's a fox-heart, caring for herself, not for others. You loved her, and this is what you get? A broken heart and and back-stabbing cat. I felt the same way with my mate, when he abandoned me for a cat in his clan" hissed Mapleshade.

She looked at him a bit weirded out. "Ummm... I'm just going to go..." Hawkstrike quickly walked away, frightened by the white tom's facial expressions.
