Murderers in Riverclan V.2 [Roster Update 10/30]

The old cat might have been loosing her hearing but she could still hear the howl loud and clear. This worried her she stood up and walked over to the leaders den. "Creekstar, did you hear that I think it..." She trailed off until her words were silent then looked away, then at the leader.

Stonepaw startled awake at the yowl,yawning. Realizing it was morning, he shook out his pelt and followed where the sound came from. Seeing a group by the river, he blinked seeing Minnowpaw's body. Glancing at Sweetpaw, he blinked, padding over to the other tom, trying to comfort him.

Creekstar glanced up, nodding in greeting to the elder before she spoke, "I...It doesn't sound good..." he mumbled in response, concern filling his eyes, "Hopefully it's nothing...Perhaps an apprentice has just injured themselves" the thought of something more than a small injury happening to one of his clanmates unnerved the tom, though he forced himself to stay calm.

Voleheart was alseep in his nest. Or, trying to get back to sleep because he had been woken up by an odd noise earlier. Creekstar's going to be so angry with me! And even if he's not, my clanmates will be. I'm not an apprentice anymore and my clanmates cannot and will not wake me up everyday! Why am I so useless compared to everyone? He asked himself gloomily. There was a commotion outside. Voices murmuring, leaves rustling. A sound came from far away. Voleheart stiffened. The rustle of thorns and bushes told him some cat's were exiting camp. Why? Voleheart's curiosity moved him outside and swiftly carried his paws out the exit. Hope I didn't miss anything important!

Acornpaw watched as Frostynight was talking to Creekstar. This must be serious then... she thought. The medicine cat apprentice slipped out of her den to look around. Everything seemed normal... but what was the screech she had heard earlier? Fearing the worst, she padded up to Creekstar. "I think we should check out who made the sound, so if they are seriously injured, I'd be able to heal them," she mewed quietly.

Jaypaw frowned as he saw Sweetpaw crying and in tears, he knew a drowned Minnowpaw was a serious thing, so he got out of the bush and went to the leaders den in camp. There, he stopped after he meowed "CreekStar!", but he noticed he was talking to Frostynight and Acornpaw... He panted, looking at the leader and everyone else.

[gallifrey falls.]

Duckfeather awoke with a yawn, both surprised and pleased to see Acornpaw already up and sorting out the herbs they had gathered last night. She felt a momentary swell of pride. Acornpaw was as energetic as she was hardworking. However, before she could greet her apprentice there was an ear-splitting yowl from just outside the camp.
Duckfeather followed her apprentice towards the entrance to the medicine cat den, and padded out to see what had happened. She followed the scent of many cats towards the riverbank. She spotted the forms of Jaypaw and Sweetpaw crouched around something. She reached the group and was shocked to see the sodden form of Minnowpaw washed up on the bank. But the apprentice had always been a strong swimmer, and there was no storm last night.
She rested a tail on Sweetpaw's shoulder, attempting to calm the grieving she-cat. "Did you see or smell anything unusual when you found Minnowpaw," she asked Sweetpaw gently. In the back of her mind, she reminded herself to give Sweetpaw a few poppyseeds when they got back to camp.

"Nu-no," Sweetpaw managed shakily, "I-I was hunting for fish, the really shiny ones down here and-and I saw a patch of fur," The tom closed his eyes as if willing himself both to remember and to forget, "I followed the river down cuz I was curious and-and found Minnowpaw." The firm tail of Duckfeather was the only thing keeping him grounded instead of falling over wailing as he had been before.

Jaypaw was at the entrance of CreekStar's den, he backed up and went walking, he decided he did not want to start more things up, or make more problems or suspicions of him, he knew he did not know what to suspect next...but he went back to sweetpaw, he noticed VoleHeart near by and went up to him "VoleHeart?"
