Jerking up his head at the warrior's approach, he blinked and sat up slowly. He guessed she and Swiftsong had been discussing things. "Uh, she told me she liked me, and I told her I enjoyed her company in return." he rumbled slowly, eyes darting over her. "Why's she so upset?" he added, wondering if she knew.

He blinked in surprise. "Where'd she get that impression?" he rumbled. "I mean, no offense or anything." Heronleap added, flicking his tail. "We haven't talked that much." he shrugged slightly. At her offer he glanced down. "Uh, no thanks, I ate earlier." he murmured, glancing up to see a face disappear back into the warriors' den. Taking the fresh-kill might only influence Swiftsong's thought about him liking Blisteringwind. Which he didn't, in that sort of way at least. He sighed, still rather confused by the emotional she-cat.

"I'll do my best," he sighed after her, as he dropped back down to his stomach. Heronleap closed his eyes and wrapped his tail back around him. He'd let Swiftsong be alone for now, then try to approach her later, when perhaps she would be more willing to talk. He didn't want to push things and make anything worse.
