Fishtail put her paw on the fish, digging her claws in. She could see fish darting away from where they were and went still again. Once again, she saw a black flicker, larger than the other one. She darted her paw forward. She missed by a paw step, but she quickly brang her other paw forward, scooping it into the air. She jumped up, catching it in her mouth.

Cottontail smiled. "Thank you Mosspaw" she beamed. "I think your done with training today, i had extra help with sorting the herbs. Oh!! I remembered, we need more burdock root, we just ran out!!"

Reedtail sighed. "Although there isn't much prey, i think leaf-fall is my favorite season" he mewed.

She grinned. "Have you ever met a fox?" She asked. "They are big, scary and dangerous" she leaned over the kit, showing her teeth and her unsheathed claws.

Ferretkit laughed, puffing out his chest and standing up straight "Have you ever met a ferret?! They're big too! and very scary from what Mother tells me!" he said loudly, proudly. "I can take any old fox!" he said and reached up, batting playfully at Sandfur's nose.

"Wow!" Weaselnose exclaimed. "That was quite some catch, Fishtail!" He meowed, sounding impressed with the she-cat. He was stunned by how quickly she had moved but he didn't let that show for a reason he couldn't explain. Weaselnose looked over at their catches for a moment and back at his hunting companion. "So ... that makes three fish caught, right? Do you think we should stop?" His eyes quickly darted to the river and back at Fishtail again. "Or maybe fish a bit more?"
