Petalfur was sitting at the entrance to the medicine den. She wrapped her tail around Streamkit. "P-please make sure he'll live..." She mewed. Everything that mattered was that Cloudkit could survive.

Firefall comes over shakily and nudges his mate. He wraps his tail around her comfortingly.

Streamkit cried. Her brother was so hurt, and it was all my fault. Teary-eyed, she looked up at her mom. "Im so sorry mommy! Its all my fault! I told him to run and he didnt so i dragged him. But it just slowed him down and he got caught! Mommy he's hurt and it's all my fault! We just wanted to be like the warriors!"

Ivypaw bounded past Sweetpaw, steering clear of the edge of the gorge. She had found her way down to the bottom. Scenting the air she picked up the smell of mouse. Crouching, she slipped forward, hiding in the shadows. When her target was sighted she sprung into the air and swiftly made the kill.

[Ratyr]

"I guess this turned into a hunting patrol?" Miststar mewed, amusement in her voice.

Petalfur leaned towards Firefall. "Streamkit, it isn't your fault. You didn't know what would happen."

"Sorry," Ivypaw mumbled, ducking her head. "We've been out for quite awhile I just thought it would be good to bring something back for the clan..."

[Ratyr]

Miststar nodded. "I think that's a good idea. We need to keep the fresh-kill pile stocked." She padded away to hunt.

[sonya;]

Coontail
He yawned and stretched.

Ivypaw relaxed, she burried her mouse and scented the air for more prey. The sun was begining to sink, how long had they been out?

[Ratyr]

Crouching to view the ferns more easily, she spotted a rabbit. Quietly she stalked it. Suddenly, the rabbit turned tail and ran. Miststar cursed, then chased after it. After running a few fox-lengths, she finally managed to catch it.

[Knuckles the Echidna]

At least I can do something to help the clan! Sweetpaw thought, her spirits rising. All she needed to do was fill her mind with thoughts other than the gorge. She disappeared into the forest and began to track down a squirrel.

Cloudkit groaned. "Mommy..." He mewed, stopping to wince a the pain.
