Mothtumble purred as her apprentice spoke, letting out a small laugh. "Of course not, you know there's no fun had around here without you." She mewed, watching him leave. Her smile faded once the tom was gone, her gaze fixated on the senior warriors leaving the leaders den. She noticed the absence of Tigerlily leaving, meaning she was still inside with Moosestar. She felt like she had bees in her belly as she thought about the two, though she was unsure why. The she-cat shook her head, trying to force the uncomfortable feeling away, but it was of no use. Mothtumble went to go back to her work of sorting herbs out, in an attempt to keep herself busy and away from that feelings that was stinging at her insides, like a swarm of bees attacking after someone attempted to harm their hive, but she noticed Bluewhisker heading towards her den before she had the time to turn around. the she-cat sighed, waiting for Bluewhisker to enter her den and ask whatever needed to be asked of her, no use in starting up the job she had been doing when there was obviously going to be a more important task at hand.

Rabbitpaw feigned being hurt by the young tom, falling to the ground dramatically. He wasn't too bad for an untrained kit, Rabbitpaw had to admit, and she was excited to see who his mentor would be and how they would refine his skills. "You beat me!" She mewed, eyes shining with amusement as Ashkit's attention was suddenly diverted to Riveripple coming in with minnows. She sat up, sitting down and watching him go pick up the minnows. When he brought them to her and dropped them at her feet, Rabbitpaw smiled, nuzzling the kit's cheek. "That's so sweet, thank you Ashkit." She mewed, hooking both the minnows with her claws and dropping them into her mouth, purring with delight at the taste. While fish wasn't her favorite prey, she much preferred her name-sake, she wasn't going to pass up her chance at getting some food in her tummy before Bluewhisker took her out on a patrol or had her begin training in the rain. She looked over at Cherrycloud, giving the queen a small smile, "Ashkit's going to get his apprentice name soon, right? Are you excited to finally get out of the nursery?" She asked, flicking her tail on the ground in front of Ashkit, in an attempt to get him to practice his hunting skills.

Thistleflight didn't say anything after Vervainclaw spoke, wondering if she was right. From what Mistlespots and Icestep had told him, he'd never become that important with his attitude, but he didn't really believe them. They never understood him anyway. "One day, I'll be making the important choices for this clan, I'm sure of it. Mistlespots and Icestep will just have to wait and see." He mewed, mostly to himself. He gave Vervainclaw a small look, wondering about what many things she could be thinking about. He wasn't sure, especially since his mind was so focused on being the best warrior he could be and surpassing his sister and the other senior warriors. "If you'd like to talk about whatever is on your mind, I'm here, it's not like we've got much else to do with all this rain." He mewed, curling his tail around his paws, "I'm sure you do belong in important meetings like that, by the way, you're a skilled warrior, not to mention a beautiful one, if you just put yourself out there, everyone will notice what you have to offer to the clan." When Beetlepaw padded up, Thistleflight was about to speak, but Strikinggaze beat him to it. When the other tom agreed to accompany the medicine cat and said he and Vervainclaw should stay in camp to keep an eye on everything, Thistleflight stayed quiet.

Mistlespots stood silently as Timberfoot asked Bluewhisker to go speak to Mothtumble about preparing herself for the upcoming battle. The senior warrior shook her head, padding after Timberfoot towards the fresh-kill pile. She wasn't going to eat, even though she knew she ought to. The younger cats needed it more, she'd be able to last on the meal she had the night before. "I'm concerned about all this. Especially with how eager both Tigerlily and Moosestar seem to be. And the fact that Mothtumble hasn't been consulted about the battle. Shouldn't our medicine cat at least have a say in what happens?" She asked, mostly speaking to herself, but the question was also aimed at Timberfoot. "Though, I suppose if Starclan didn't want us to take back Sunning Rocks, they would have sent her a sign." The she-cat flicked her tail, her paws squelching as she walked through the mud. There wasn't much she, or Timberfoot could do at this point but support their leader and deputy, though she did hope that maybe Mothtumble would be able to talk some sense into Moosestar.

Strikinggaze gave a small smile as the medicine cat apprentice walked into the warriors den, dipping his head in greeting. At Beetlepaw's question, he gave a nod. "I'll come with you, Thistleflight, Vervainclaw, you two should stay here. Keep an eye on the camp and stay dry. There's no need for all of us to get wet." He mewed, standing up and padding over to the medicine cat apprentice. He walked out of the den, fluffing his fur up against the rain, but his efforts were in vain as the downpour just smoothed his fur back down and slicked it to his body. "What herbs are we going after? If you describe them to me I can help you look for them, though I'm not sure I'll be much help, I'm not medicine cat after all. But I can carry whatever you need me to." He asked, giving Beetlepaw a curious look.

Dullgaze continued to follow the patrol home, keeping herself towards the back. She didn't speak when everyone else started a conversation, just keeping her mouth tightly around her mouse and squirrel. There wasn't anything for her to say anyway, so why start talking. It's not like they would actually listen to her anyway. Her paws ached for her to get back to camp, to crawl into her own next and start drying her fur. She gave a thankful sigh when the patrol began to head back to camp, her footsteps speeding up as they neared the entrance. Ignoring everyone else on the patrol, the she-cat ducked into camp, dropping her catch onto the fresh kill pile quickly. The longer the rain pounded around her, the more agitated she got. The she-cat quickly made for the warriors den, avoiding looking at her brother as he spoke to Beetlepaw. She settled into a dry spot, away from her nest and quickly began trying to dry her fur, licking it the wrong way in order for it to dry faster.

Ashclaw sat under the protection of the lip of the roof of Dolly's two-leg home, sitting on their front steps, waiting for the rain to stop. He had been wandering the two-leg place when it started, and he immediately took shelter under the roof. It made him feel safe to be where Dolly used to live, knowing she was watching over him with their two kittens by her side. He looked up at the sky, watching as the rain poured down in sheets. For some reason, this storm didn't unnerve him, it calmed him down. . except when he thought about his sister, Cherrycloud, and his son who were in Tranquilclan, having to deal with the weather. He frowned, his paws itching to run to them, to protect them from the storm, but he knew that wasn't possible. He had chosen to leave the clan, and that is where he must stay. He sighed, hoping his sister and his son were alright. The short furred tom turned away from looking into the forest, hopping off of the front steps of the two-leg nest and walking into the open street. The roads were quiet, and he took the chance to cross, heading towards the forest.
