Duskpaw slowly pushed out from between the ferns and squinted in the sunlight, looking around the clearing. The cats he saw were fuzzy and there was an opaque film across everything he saw but he could identify them through scent. He sat down at the entrance, wrapping his tail around his paws and basked in the sunlight, enjoying the moment of quiet before cats began approaching him.

Foxpaw puffed out his chest slightly and jumped to his feet, dipping his head slightly, "I should go dig up what I caught," he said, "I'll be right back," he said, tilting his head. He thought for a moment, and shrugged. Perhaps he wouldn't come straight back--he had sighted a foxhole earlier and although the scent of fox was stale and old, he wanted to know what it was like inside a foxhole. He bid the warriors goodbye and spun away, racing out into the forest.
T A W N Y P A W
Tawnypaw rolled over in her nest and yawned, blinking her eyes open. She sprang to her feet when she realized how late it was. Tawnypaw raced out, looking around for her mentor. She bounded over to Pineshadow and skidded to a stop,
licking down her chest fur in embarrassment, "I'm sorry I slept in," she mewed, looking up sheepishly, "I was exhausted."
S T O R M
Storm finished up her mouse and sat up, licking her jaws. She padded out the abandoned twoleg nest and towards the edge of the forest, towards the twoleg nests. Storm wondered if she'd encounter any kittypets this early on--it wasn't too early for her, but most kittypets didn't leave their nests until sunhigh to sunbathe.
