the large tom blinked, arising from his slumber in his den. usually the big leader's den was a bit lonely for his taste, but he showed no emotion towards it. stretching out his back in an arch, he made his way out of the den to the fresh kill pile. he inserted his muzzle into the pile, using it to nudge the squirrels and voles out of the way so he could pull out a large thrush from the center. dragging it to the side of the clearing, he began to feast by himself.

there, the small she-cat thought, her pale green eyes fixed on the blue jay above her in the oak tree. her claws itched to pounce immediately, but she cautioned herself. finally at the perfect moment she launched herself into the oak tree and pulled down the bird with her. satisfied, she carried it back to camp, hopefully able to show someone her proud catch.

scarlet sat in a tree, eating a thrush. she was just outside the clan cats territory, knowing they hated outsiders in their territory. if you asked her, it wasn't theirs. it was everyones. but she knew better then to say that to them. last time she did that,
she was chased off and now she had a scar. she thought the clan cats were fine, just as long as they didn't trespass on her territory. it wasn't official or anything but it made her feel strong. since she was bored, she decided maybe trespassing a bit would be fine. she jumped down and landed safely on her paws. she walked inside their territory and climbed a tree there and jumped from tree to tree.

nettleheart gave a loud groan as her brother plodded at her sides. "okay, okay, i'm going," she mewed as she rustled in her nest, shaking off scraps of moss. her coat was shorter, so she had an easier time grooming her pelt-- unlike her brothers. stepped over the heads of snoring warriors and out into the early morning sun, which in reality, almost blinded the molly. she stumbled rather clumsily out, but once she was in the clearing, she saw adderstar. she wasn't a cat afraid of others, so she trotted over to the freshkill pile, picked out a small starling, and then sat about a few feet away from him. "surprisingly the leader doesn't have twenty warriors surrounding him, asking about patrols," she mewed amusingly, and bit into her starling. she coughed, and a black little feather flew out of her mouth. too soon, she thought.

rainstep had waken up before the sun rose today. he loved being early and awake to be able to see the blue, breath-taking skies right before they turned pink and then orange. he was sneaking along the underground of the forest, his mouth open to take in the scents, trying to pick up the scent of prey. he paused when he scented and then located a plump thrush that was pecking contentedly at seeds on the ground. the tom lowered himself to the ground with his tail low, and he edged closer and closer to the oblivious bird. i have you now, he thought as the bird lifted it's head. and.... he thought, as he bunched his muscles, getting ready to make the leap.

rainstep ignored every other thing and leap, adrenaline rushing through his body as his limbs stretched-- then he saw a flash of reddish orange fur in front of him, completely blocking his view. he crashed into the fluffy body, as it was quite unevitable at this point. he landed on top of it, and he felt hot under his fur when she realized it was a molly. he quickly got up and smoothened his fur. "your bird?" he hissed. "it's on my territory!" rainstep was brimming on the point of attacking the she-cat, having no tolerance for them, but he instead spat and turned. "keep your dumb bird, i could've killed you if i wanted to," he growled under his breath, swishing his tail as he walked, then looked back. "and stay off of brokenclan territory, you might not find such a gentleman like me," he added mockingly, with artificial sweetness in his tone, and challenge in his eyes.

'' I don't even think you could have harmed a feather! '' she spat. she knew most cats would attack her for this, but this cat seemed a bit calmer then most cats she met. '' and this isn't your territory, clan cat! it is the forest's territory. and i don't think you're the forest! '' she picked up the bird and quickly ran into the tree. if he attacked, at least she would have a head start. where he hit her itched with pain, but she wouldn't say that in front of him. as she looked at the tom, she had to admit he was a bit handsome.

the tom flattened his ears and glared at the fluffy molly with green eyes. "one, that's a lie. two, i don't think you are either," he said, staring at the molly as she ran into the tree. "three, i don't attack unless you look like you'd kill a kit," he meowed in amusement, taking in the molly's appearance. she was admittingly breath-taking, with soft ginger fur and eyes he could gaze at forever -- which he was unconsciously doing at the moment.
