Wolfheart kept her eye on Whitepaw as she noticed him panic for a split second. The fae quietly giggled to herself as she finished grooming her pelt. Standing up she began to walk over to Whitepaw giving off an intimidating look even though she was just going to ask a few questions of curiosity, her light blue eyes narrowed down on Whitepaw as the fae stood tall looking down on Whitepaw. So many thoughts went through her mind yet she decided to question him calmly. "What were you doing in the warrior's den, Whitepaw?" Wolfheart questioned him with a calm tone.

"I, uh..." Whitepaw stammered, suddenly feeling very nervous and not at all tough. He took a deep breath to calm himself, then put on his grumpy, defiant expression. "I don't see why it's any of your business. I can do what I like. You're not the boss of me," he growled, glaring at Wolfheart. Inwardly, his heart was racing and he was very afraid, but he would never let anyone know he wasn't as tough as he acted, so he just pretended he was angry.

Doeleap stirred, having woken a few seconds earlier. She didn't get up, not yet anyways, and was content to just lie in her nest with her eyes closed. She listened to the other cats talking, and she listened to the birds in the trees outside the camp, but still she didn't get up. Doeleap liked listening, especially when it was early and it wasn't very loud. Finally, the brown and white molly opened her eyes, but she didn't stand. She just sat up a bit, still listening, but now watching as well.

Wolfheart glared down at Whitepaw clearly annoyed of his defense,"It is my busness." the fae spat back in an annoyed tone. "Why would an apprentice, such as yourself be in the warrior's den?" Wolfheart pressed the young apprentice with a question, she flicked her banner clearly annoyed of this apprentice already. She wanted to be civil about why he was in the warrior's den but clearly she wasn't going to put up with him civilly.

Sadly for the black she-cat she stood out in the mountains, where everything was mostly white and brown, year round. But thankfully the snow was melting. The rogue let out a soft purr when she spotted a gray jay bird. Crouching down as she slowly stalked towards the bird, she kept as silent as she could. Once she was close enough the black she-cat leapt into action and brought down the bird. After landing Omen looked around and took in the scents around her, smelling another rogue not far from her. This caused her to frown, though she missed having conversations with living cats she didn't think a rogue would want to talk about clan life. So Omen quickly started to pad away, the jay bird in her jaws as she attempted to get back to her den.

Whitepaw stared at Wolfheart, eyes wide. He hadn't expected her to keep asking; his tough act had worked on everyone else he'd tried it on, although admittedly he had only really been rude to cats his age before. "I... I was... investigating," he lied. He had actually gone to Doeleap because he needed someone to talk to, but there was no way he was going to tell Wolfheart that. "I heard... uh... I heard a noise, and I wanted to investigate it."

Doeleap finally stood, surveying the cats around her. There didn't seem to be anyone interesting around, so she left the den with a yawn, clearly still sleepy. She saw Whitepaw talking to Wolfheart, but she assumed the two cats were just being friendly, so she just ignored them.

the young tom woke from mintpaw getting up. dustpaw walked over to the she-cat, greeting her with a friendly paw swipe. "good morning!" he purred, then yawning a bit.

snowstar

snowstar opened her jaws widely as she let out another yawn. "pretty well, thanks. you?" she replied, smiling and sitting down. "also, I'd like to go see all of the apprentice's progress on their training, so do you think you can make time for battle training later today?" she asked. snowstar hasn't interacted with the younger and older cats, mostly handing around gorseclaw and the other warriors. after that, the next day she planned to spend her day helping the elders, and then the queens.

The warrior glared coldly into Whitepaw's eyes, she could tell her was lying just from the way he spoke and the way his eyes widened. "Are you lying to me?' Wolfheart questioned the apprentice with a low tone, she wasn't in the mood to put up with this apprentice lying to her either. She was doing her best to keep from lashing out at him but from the way he was acting, it wasn't working. "Also if you were 'investigating', one of the warriors would have woken up to check it out.an apprentice as young as yourself doesn't need to be snooping around in he warrior's den." the fae added this time with a slightly calmer tone.

Whitepaw averted his gaze to stare at the ground. "Er... it was a very quiet noise. The warriors are old, and their ears are full of dust, so they wouldn't have heard it." he lied again. "Besides, I'm almost as strong as a warrior anyway. I could beat up anything that tried to come into camp!" he boasted, now feeling a bit more confident, although he was still a little scared that Wolfheart might punish him for lying and being rude.

"Just fine, thank you," she mewed. Her eyes brightened at her leader's next statement and inquiry. "Yes, of course. I'm sure all the apprentices will be eager to impress their leader," she chuckled. She was certainly excited for Snowstar to see how fast her apprentice was learning. "Whitepaw has been doing very well." As she mentioned this, she glanced at him and Wolfheart, who seemed to be having a small squabble. The deputy let out a soft sigh.

At the commotion outside the apprentices den, Smokepaw raised his head, squinting to see what was going on. What were Whitepaw and Wolfheart seemingly arguing about? The black tom quietly padded out of the den. "What's going on?" he asked drowsily.

The pretty queen blinked her eyes open slowly, yawning. Her vision cleared and she turned her gaze to her kits. Wolfkit was still sleeping soundly, but Lunakit was awake. "Good morning, little one," she purred softly to her.

The gray rogue woke with a yawn. The sun was just barely up. He quickly got to his paws and stretched before leaving the hollow log that had been his den for the past few nights - he should be moving again anytime now, though. He began to wander around before catching the scent of a hare. The tom crouched, slowly creeping toward the animal, and springing just before it noticed him. The hare hung lifeless from his jaws, and he returned to his den to eat it.

"Smokepaw, hi. Wolfheart and I were just discussing the strange noise we apprentices heard last night, right, Smokepaw?" Whitepaw hinted, eyes wide in silent pleading. If Smokepaw didn't back him up, he'd get in trouble, and the last thing Whitepaw wanted was to get in trouble, even though he was practically asking for it, what with his rude demeanor and defiance towards adults.
