Hearing a paw hit the ground, Curlypaw jumped back. "Who is it?" She she called, trying to sound braver than she felt. Visions of blood ran through her head. Curlypaw tensed he body, wondering if it was a badger.

Dunn froze at the sound of a voice, his thick pelt immediately beginning to bristle. The holder of the voice sounded young, but the young could be strong and the last thing he wanted was a conflict. With a chill running through him, the large tom moved towards the she-cat, his head lowered.
The loner tried to appear as non-threatening as possible, but it was hard to do so being such a large cat.
"I-I'm sorry, I didn't mean to frighten you." Dunn said in his soft voice, keeping his blue eyes averted. "My name is Dunn. I apologize for being on your territory, it's been a rough past moon and I needed somewhere to recover."

Silentheart padded up next to her apprentice and bowed her silver head to Dunn.

When the silver she-cat approached, Dunn stepped back, his feeling of dread worsening. Now there were two cats to contend with, and the loner knew that he would not fight them. He would be forced to run from yet another place.
"I'm sorry for intruding." He said, his panic seeping into his light voice. "I'll leave, I swear I will."

Curlypaw glanced at her mentor, she herself knew how it was to feel like nobody else was there for you, to be utterly alone. "Wait." She said, before the tom could go away. "You can stay, come back to camp with us." Maybe she was being reckless, in fact, she knew she was. But this scenario hit too close to home, too close to what she knew.
