[Just a warning that I'll be away until the 28th.]

Company was never long in coming. The Garden was like any bustling neighbourhood. Everyone always had their snouts in everybody else's business.

Not that Titania was complaining, of course. She liked a dash of idle chatter every now and again. And she was the worst gossip of the lot.

The petals of the lilies rustled, as if the flowers were murmuring about the intrusion. Titania lifted her head, her anther-bark bobbing.
Ah. There was Blitz. Right on time, too. Titania twitched her tail and flexed her claws.
"Must you perch up there? It does make me crane my neck terribly." Her words may have been aloof and testy, but her tone was light and good-natured. Titania liked Blitz, mainly for the attention he so liberally bestowed upon her. Any girl likes to be admired, after all.

"My lilies are limp, their petals are parched. My flowers are fading," she sighed melodramatically in response. "If they don't taste rain soon, why... I don't know what I will do. Last Summer wasn't nearly this dire, was it?" Her usual sharp tongue was softened with concern. She licked a petal tenderly, as if that drop of moisture could revive the bloom and make everything alright.

As an afterthought, she asks,
"And your hyacinths? They are suffering too?"

Blitz smiled and flew down next to Titania. "Yes, the hyacinths aren't doing too great. All wilted, and they need tons of moisture too." He ducked his head slightly, shy. "If you want, I can show you how to water the roots of your lilies using the stream." He gestured to the moss that grew plentifully on the bank. It was thick and padded, green and moist despite the endless dry days.

"Just soak a bit in water and dab it around the lily roots. Trust me, it helps!" He glanced at the drooping, not-quite-so-fiery lilies. Then he glanced to the lily flower atop Titania's head. "Well, it'll get their color back good enough."

{ buttercup dragon ~ no mate}

Anemone soared low through the Wildflower meadow, speading up when she saw a pretty yellow buttercup sitting in the middle of the lilacs. How interesting... The thoughts danced in her mind like swans doing a graceful step, as if they had taken ballet classes for many years, their skills sharp with experience. The dance of wonders aside, the green female quickened her speed, hoping to grab hold of this lovely flower and claiming it as a prize for herself.

Upon nearing it, Anemone grabbed the stem of the buttercup and, giving it a gentle tug so it came up out of the ground and into her claws, she gave a small smile at the winning attempt. Now resuming to her previous speed, which was a bit slower then what she had just done, Anemone admired the pretty buttercup flower. It was bright, but then, it didn't seem as bright as before. Tugging at it nervously, she discovered that it had a very wilted appearance, and her picking it probably didn't help.

The drought had been worse then she had thought. Anemone, constantly worrying over the lack of water, dared herself to even call it such words. Speaking the word "drought" aloud may cause an uproar, so it stayed pinned to the inside of her thoughts, drowning happy things out most of the time. If only just a pinch of rain could come, or maybe a puddle in the ground that still had fresh water in it. But no, it seemed that there wasn't any of this around.

Glancing up at the sky and giving another plea, just like the many she had done before, Anemone changed direction and headed to the small patch of yellow buttercup flowers. She landed on a bigger one and set the picked wilted flower on top of it, giving a lopsided smile now that the "wounded solider" was safely returned to it's family.

Kimi
Aloe dragon, female, no mate

Bumps and bruises marred her tail and legs, as well as the leaves of the precious Aloe plant she called her home. She couldn’t be sure where she was going; all she knew was that she had traveled a long way over the course of a few days. Something told her that the end of this journey was quickly approaching.

The truck lurched to a stop before turning down a dusty dirt road. The breeze of another vehicle’s passing flipped up a corner of the tarp that covered the truck bed. Kimi blinked. She had never seen such color before. A field of wildflowers and a garden, and a forest…a couple of scattered buildings, and animals! Big ones!

Her excitement was short-lived, however, as the truck rattled to a stop in front of one of the buildings. Despite wanting to see what was happening, Kimi thought it best to make herself scarce. A small depression at the base of the plant acted as a lovely shelter for her; she stuck up her wings, separating each feather. With her tail straight up and her face hidden except for her horns, she looked like a small piece of new growth.

Blinded by the light as the tarp was thrown back, the next few moments were a blur. A big man picked up her potted aloe and placed it by the side of the building, then did the same with two more aloe plants. Grunting and wiping his hands on his pants, he climbed back into the truck and drove off.

Kimi slithered from her hiding place, down the side of the pot and into the shadow of the house before flitting up to sit on the roof. Just in time, too, as a woman came outside and surveyed her new plant life. Surely she would re-plant the aloe; the pots they were in were far too small.

Well, no matter, Kimi thought. She couldn’t very well go down there until the aloe had been planted; she didn’t want to risk discovery. Until then, she would have to find a temporary home. Where to begin...

((sorry for the insanely long post, but I couldn't think of a better way to introduce her.))

Baltazar:

He didn't like being away from the nest. The tought clinged to his mind and just wouldn't let go as he rushed through the grass. It didn't feel right to leave Mina alone with the eggs, he tought. Yet he still needed to find something to eat, and hopefully bring something back to her.
He looked around as he was searching for his precious lilac bushes from the top branches he could se half of the garden and hopefully the owners of the house would have left some half eaten vanilla bun left out from their morning tea. Baltazar suffered from quite a sweet tooth and whenever the opportunity to get his paws on some pastry came along he would take it.

Suddenly spotting the lilac bushes he unfolded his wings and leapt up into the air. The gentle breeze helped lift him up and in mere seconds he had landed on the top branches of the bushes. His eyes wondered over to the porch of the house and unfortunately he could se no trace of any leftovers on the small table placed there. What he did se however was the old lady of the house admiring some new indoor plant. It looked like thick dotted leaves, he had never seen anything like it. Out of pure curiosity he looked around the yard for a place where he could get a closer look without being spotted by any humans. He set his aim for the roof and stealthy flew up into the air and landed on the edge of the roof.

He barely noticed the other Teacup dragon crouching on the roof with him and he was taken aback by surprise before he finally recovered his maners.
"Hello there" he said carefully inspectin the odd dragon infront of him.
She looked just like the strange plant the old lady was carrying. This was a dragon he had never seen before.
"May I ask for your name?" He continued, treading carefully with his words.

What had he been thinking coming to such a cold and miserable place like this!? With all the color, the moisture and noise! There was too much this and that, his list never seemed to end. It was far too much for his liking. When he had thought about it at the time, a small vacation didn’t seem like a bad idea. It was a chance to learn new things, which always interested him but now he wished he had just stayed home. Having only been within the area for a few days the little dragon was really regretting his decision on the matter. Although the sun was now shining and there had been no signs of rain clouds for a good few hours all he could think of was just how out of place he felt, laying there on a flat rock in the sun’s rays attempting to warm up.

His prickly body had no place to hide within these gardens. He had attempted to hide within a few of the more pale looking flowers by sticking his tail flower straight in the air (as a way to match their look), but it only ended with unwanted company and his pretty flower looking more like a weed compared to the rest. A weed! He was no weed. Letting a small growl rumble from his vocals Rotem continued his inner complaining as the world around him seemed to grow busier by the second. The spring time seemed to be a busy place around here, nothing like his home where most of the creatures were nocturnal. Bugs ate, birds sang and the local dragons went on with their duties not even realizing his presence; which was fine for him.

The little grump planned on resting his tired wings for a few more days before making the long journey home. But a few more days still seemed too long. His eyes watched lazily as a few bees passed by, before finally getting up the energy to sit up. Holding his front arms close to his body and stretching his long neck to see over all the damn flowers that grew everywhere he muttered a few things to himself. Searching for either something to occupy his boredom or maybe even a quick bite to eat, coming up empty handed from what he could tell Rotem released a sigh and once again sat down.

It took him a few more minutes before finally getting up the urge to walk around and explore a bit. Jumping down from the rock the green dragon began his journey around the gardens. Snooping around at the different things.

.:Kimi:.

She tilted her head, mildly surprised at his pleasant manners. The dragon looked like the purple shrubs she had seen...he must live here. She smiled, deciding that she liked him. He was friendly enough, and he may even help her find her way around here.

"My name is Kimi. I just arrived here; my home was dug up and potted while I was nestled in the leaves." She peered down over the edge of the roof, her face an expression of concern. "I hope she re-plants them soon; they won't last very much monger in pots so small." She absently resettled her wings against her back, seeming to let that particular matter drop for the moment. After all, her watching from the roof won't ensure that they get re-potted any sooner. She sighed and turned back to the dragon next to her, a small, candid smile on her face. "Perhaps you can help me? I need somewhere to stay until my aloe is replanted. Would you happen to know of a place where I may be able to go? I saw a forest, and some wildflowers, but being new here, I--I just don't know."

She hoped he would be able to point her in the direction of an area where her aloe-specific camouflage might blend in; perhaps she could hide in the dappled shadows of the forest until the fuss over her plants died down.

"I would be happy to help in any way I can to repay your kindness," She said hopefully. She glanced at the drying plants that surrounded them. "It seems very dry here; when my aloe is replanted, I may be able to get you some water from the leaves. I can't get much, or risk damaging the plant, but it is something," she offered.
