Talontip's tail twitched out of slight annoyance at the other cat's slight surpise. "Alright. We should probably get going, soon, then. We're going to need enough time to hunt, afterwards."

Rivermist nodded then started heading towards the entrance of the camp, wanting to have a lot of time to look around.

Talontip stretched once more and began to follow Rivermist. The more time they had to invesigate and to hunt, the better.
He began to wonder what could possibly be stealing their prey. He had gone on border patrols recently, but the other clans seemed to be staying within their own borders... yet he couldn't be certain. His nose still wasn't used to the different clans' scents, and having to pick them out in certain places. Hopefully Rivermist will know what to do when they figure out what's stealing the prey.

Skyfrost bounded over to Hawkstar.
"Would you like me to go hunting?" She asked. "It something else!"

"Make sure you don't make any sounds, Talontip." Rivermist whispered to the cream tabby. "If we're not careful, we mi-" She cut off her sentence and stopped her tracks. The usual calm in her green eyes was replaced with fear and slight panick. "Uh..." She started to speak, but she faced towards her slight left, backing away slowly. "Stay here and don't do anything reckless or stupid." The dilute she-cat meowed. Slowly, she padded forward and disappeared for a few moments.

Talontip narrowed his eyes. What a nice thing to say to him. However, he obeyed and stood still, waiting for the she-cat to reappear with a reason behind her panic.

Rivermist popped out of a bush, clearly shocked. "We-well then.... I found out what's causing the prey shortage." She meowed, now replacing the shock with concern. "There's a badger over there. We can't fight it with only us two, because we will certainly die from blood loss or wounds. We need to tell the clan." She looked up at Talontip and noticed the look on his face. "What's your problem? You look upset about something."

Talontip glanced down at the ground beside him and sighed. He returned his glance to Rivermist. "Nothing's wrong. I'm fine. So, a badger's in our territory, huh?" He sighed. That explains why I couldn't recognize the scent on the recent border patrols. "I haven't had to face a badger before..." He thought.
Talontip stood up carefully. "Rivermist, calm down. It's alright. If we tell the clan, we'll be able to get help and we'll be able to chase it off the territory. We might have to hurry, though, before a few hunting patrols are sent out."

"I guess you're right." Rivermist meowed shakly, taking slow breaths. "I'm just a bit scared because badgers have been known to become agressive and kill cats. Some surivors have died from blood poisoning because a badger had something in its claws." She looked back then faced Talontip. "Let's go before it notices us. It's closer than you think." The mottled cat started padding towards camp.

Sky frost padded over to the fresh kill pile and nudged at it. There wasn't much left. "Hunting I think." She padded out of the camp, heading to a clump of bush. She padded through he forest, caught up in her own word till she heard a loud thump. She crouched down low, trembling in fear.
