Firefly growled before hissing and turning away.

Fireleaf rolled his eyes for the third time, rose to his paws, and padded away, no longer wanting to be near the prickly she-cat.

Thorntail stepped in farther and curled his body around his mate. "How are you doing this morning?"

Ashpaw's eyes widened and pounced on her friend, rolling around with Flamekit, then pinning him to the ground. "Hey buddy!"

Russetleap purred quietly, not wanting to wake the kits, though enjoying the warmth of her mate as he joined her. "As uneventful as always." She sighed, though forced a smile.

Flamekit lay on his back, his tiny orange and white legs flailing in the air, "Heeeeeey.... You can't do thaaaat..." He whined, trying to squirm free of her grasp.

Thorntail smiled and groomed her ears. "How are our kits?" he said softly, changing his licking to his children's heads.

Ash paw laughed and got off, shaking her fluffy pelt and grinning at Flamekit. "So, what do you want to do?"

(He should become an apprentice now...)

{ He should! But then that means that most of the other kits should as well, since he's the same age. And Spottedkit! Oh my glob! NO! I can't stand watching Thoot's baby grow up! :'U }

Russetleap smiled down at their kit's, her large, fluffy ears twitching. "They're doing really well." She mewed gently, "They've all been sleeping all day.... well... most of them..." She sighed, her gaze drifting out of the nursery's entrance. "I haven't seen Spottedkit all day." She mewed, her tone hurt, "I do hope that she's okay."

Spottedkit sniffed near the entrance of camp. She looked around and smirked. Everyone wasn't paying attion, so she left camp and went into the forest to explore.

Thorntail lifted his head and licked her muzzle. "I'm sure it's all just overwhelming. She can be a stubborn one sometimes," he teased, giving her a grin. "So, how about going out today? I bet your legs are upset."

(Shhh, don't cry! There's two other kits to cry about as well!)

{ Too late! D: *sobs* Didn't they have four in their second litter...? But, they wouldn't be old enough yet... }

Russetleap returned his gentle lick and sighed softly, touching her nose to his maw. "You're right..." She mumbled, turning her gaze down to her paws. "But I can't help feeling like I failed her as a mother... Maybe if I had've done something differently, then she wouldn't be one to wonder off, and she would talk to us about everything, or would even look at her siblings..." She took a deep breath and looked up at Thorntail, trying to return his smile and nodded. "Okay," She whispered, "I'll ask Rainpelt if she'll be able to keep an eye on the kits."

Fireleaf decided it best to leave camp, and get out for a bit. He trudged into the canopy, not noticing the kit that had wondered out.

Rainpelt watched Goldenkit and her siblings play.
