Tornadostorm turned to face the kit. Still feeling completely lost, and out of control of her emotions. "I-Icekit... It's... It's ok..." She forced her paws to move, feeling her heart break further with every paw step, and barely keeping herself from breaking into sobbing, as she stood infront of the little bundle of fur that was the kit. "I-I'm sure Blastclaws i-is around somewhere... L-let's go find him, ok?" she gently nosed the kit.

Cutpaw felt sick knowing that someone would be twisted enough to kill a queen. He backed out of the crowd, turning to watch Tornadostorm go with Icekit to find Blastclaws. Not wanting to leave Featherpaw alone, he decided to see what had actually happened to Daycloud. She had wounds on her neck, easily obvious as what had been the killing blow. This couldn't've been an accident.

Cutpaw quickly backed out of the medicine den, thoughts racing. 'Is there a traitor in the clan?' He thought to himself. Turning to Featherpaw, he asked, "W-well, things could be worse?" He cut himself off from saying anything further, and laughed nervously to mask his fear. Anyone could have done it. The only question was who?

"Things could've been worse?!" The silver she-cat said as she turned on him, absolutely bewildered on what could've been worse. "A mother and a clan-mate was....was murdered!" Featherpaw then didn't even know what to do, as she then moved out of the medicine den, unable to look at the fallen queen anymore. "We need to tell Blastclaw.." She mewed sadly as she then followed the group to look for Daycloud's mate.

Cutpaw watched a bit awkwardly as the rest of the group walked off, wondering if he should go with them. 'Well, I'm not doing any good just standing around...'

He trotted after Featherpaw and the rest of his clan mates. "Has anyone told Coldstar about this yet?" He asked, looking back behind him to search for anything suspicious. Unfortunately, he found nothing, and he felt the sick feeling return.

"o-okay..." icekit whined softly as she reluctantly followed after tornadostorm. she hadn't seen her mother's body, but she knew something wasn't right. she just hoped that she and tornadostorm would find her father soon.
