Russetwing cried out as the badger tossed her aside, her back slammed into a tree and knocked the wind out of her.

"Badger" roared and bit onto Brightshine's tail angrily.

Brightshine hissed as his tail was severed. Half of it remained in the badger's mouth, the rest gushing blood.

Russetwing moved feebly, "Brightshine, go get more warriors" she mewed.

[C a s]

"I'm not leaving you!" Brightshine hissed, swiping at the badger's face.

"Badger" claws at Brightshine, it snarls and tries to ram Brightshine.

Russetwing dragged herself to her feet, "Go, I will stay out of it's way until you get back" she mewed.

"Get up a tree! I'm not leaving unless you're up a tree!" Brightshine cried.

Russetwing dragged herself up a nearby tree and shivered with fright as she clung to the bark.

"Badger" swipes a paw at Brightshine, growling and spitting as it does.

[C a s]

Brightshine turned and fled to camp, leaving behind a trail of blood. "Badger! Russetwing!" He yowled.

Thornblaze looked up. "Badger?" he asked drosily standing to his paws.

Moonglow waved his tail at Honeybee. "I'll go help them." He jumped down. "Someone fetch a Medicine cat, Brightshine is to injured to help."
