"Nice to meet you, Base." Poppy grinned. "Nah, it's fine. And plus, they look busy..." Poppy frowned for a split second, looking up at her bigger friend. "But maybe you me and Confetti can hang out!" She turned her gaze back to Base. "We should probably find somewhere else to go. With so many of us around one park, the humans may come around..." She gulped, trying to hide her fear.

"I could take on any human that comes by!" He exclaimed, puffing out his chest. He grinned a little and looked around. "I think I know a place we could go...."

Lemon Poppy smirked. "I'm sure you cna." She winked then laughed. "Alright!" She exclaimed happily. "Lead the way, Base."

"Let's go!" He exclaimed, trotting off towards the Human's High School. He was the size of a small cow, about 3 1/2 feet at the shoulder. He slowly stalked into the school's football field, sitting right at the center. It was Sunday, and none of the humans should be around.

Lemon Poppy grinned and sped off after Base. Her small size allowed her to slip after him easily without being seen. Once she recognized where she was, Lemon Poppy froze. "Base!" She whispered, her ears laying flat.

"What's the matter?" He asked, totally oblivious to anything wrong with this place.

"This is where-" Poppy choked on the name. "Where Johnny went to school..." Hot tears stung her eyes. "I remember following him to school one day... He tried to hide me in his football locker." She laughed quietly. "I just don't know if I'll be able to stand being so close to him again." She felt awful for ruining Base's fun.

He frowned, "I'm sorry about that.... You're lucky, I can't remember anything about my human.... I hit my head really hard one day and forgot everything... All I could remember was some urge to watch the marching band.... Maybe our humans knew eachother!"
