Blizzardclaw nodded some as Beestar showed him her confidence in her and sighs once. "Yeah I'll introduce her to Daydream, though they have gotten the chance to meet once since she has been apprenticed. I'll keep an eye on Ivypaw still though and I'm sure Robinwind will tell her to probably stay with Daydream or the other apprentices anyway," he told his leader.
He watched his apprentice wait for Sunflare who was finishing up talking to Creamflower. He wouldn't mind the warrior take his apprentice out, however he did mind that the warrior hadn't asked. Perhaps since he seemed done talking about the gathering, that he would be able to take her out for some training. But when he relooked at them he saw the three cats heading out of camp and sighed, so much for Bearpaw's training today.

They wouldn't get in trouble for being here to hunt, they needed as much as they could as leaf-bare was fast approaching. She brushed up against him as she felt the wind change direction. Stagpaw glanced up and down the thunderpath, she was a bit timid crossing them as it was how she injured her leg to begin with. But she felt a bit more confident with Streamspots by her side than if she would of crossed it alone again like she had a few moons ago.

Russetswirl nodded a bit, he remembered how he use to wonder the forest a lot more than he use to when he was younger. He loved to explore as a younger cat but now with his hearing and eyes getting worse, he didn't leave camp much unless with an escort. Not that medicine cats went out a lot anyway, sometimes occasionally.
When Southstar told them to cross, he glanced at the others before crossing the dirt thunderpath. This one wasn't so scary as it was off season for twolegs to come here and use this one. Though he was curious at how Stagpaw would do, he hoped she wouldn't get left behind on it but did notice she had kept up with them fine so far on the patrol.

Elmshade rolled her eyes. "I think we both want the best for the clan. Everyone does." She snapped. True, Tigerblaze was her senior, but she was a bit tired of this argument. She knew Beestar would be great at both being a mother and a leader at the same time. "It will be fine." She said, then looked over towards the horseplace, where Robinwind had wandered off to. She saw her brother folding up herbs into leaves. "How long does it even take to pick some herbs?" She grumbled, anxious to get back to camp.

Robinwind padded around with Ivypaw, trying to collect herbs quickly, not wanting to keep the rest of the patrol waiting. There weren't too many herbs, unfortunately, but that was expected, what with leaf-bare coming soon. There was the coltsfoot, and he had managed to collect quite a few raspberry leaves, but he hadn't found any tansy or catmint. "Find anything else, Ivypaw?" He asked his apprentice while he bundled up his stack of leaves in a leaf. "If not, we can try again some other time." It was already sunhigh, and he felt like the day was going far too fast. He wanted to get back in time to sort all the herbs and then also rest before the gathering.

Inside, the she-cat was stewing, her pelt bristling slightly as she watched Fallenstone and Weaselstripe speed up together. Her tail lashed quickly, but she forced herself not to speak a word of her jealousy. Taking a deep breath, she opened her jaws, scenting the air. Fresh EagleClan scent. A patrol must be near the border. She scanned the opposite bank to see which EagleClan cats could be found.

S w i f t b a d g e r slowed. His pawsteps became light on the ground, his weight evenly distributed. There was no cover so close to the water, so he relied entirely on the breeze blowing to his advantage. If it were to change, his kill would be ruined. He crept on, hoping the silver of his pelt would blend well with the stones of the stream's bank.
Finally, he was close enough. The warrior leaped, his paws landing squarely on the vole's back. He sank his fangs into its back until he felt its brittle spine crack under his teeth. As he lifted the prey, he could spot an OakClan patrol on the furthest bank. So far he could only spot two of the Clan's younger warriors: Weaselstripe and Fallenstone. I hope they saw that impressive kill. After covering his prey, he left a scent marker on a long patch of grass to redefine the border.

A c o r n s p o t s pounded across the dirt Thunderpath at her leader's orders. Leading only to the Twoleg den nearby and the lake, it didn't have much traffic during the colder seasons. Acornspots couldn't taste the acrid scent of Monsters, showing that none had come down here recently. Comforted by the thought, she padded confidently beside her leader and the elder medicine cat. She watched Streamspot guide Stagpaw. She's definitely ready to be a warrior. Despite her injury, she moves like one!
"Are we going to head to the border with Twolegplace?" Acornspots asked, her head turning towards the cats beside her.

D e e r t a i l twitched his whiskers with amusement as she teased him about the prey. "I think I can handle it," he assured her. He savored every moment that her soft pelt brushed against his own, purring lightly.
He scented the air as she spoke. "Cat scent, that's for sure," he mewed. "Probably just a Kittypet. We'll chase it off if it's in our territory!" His pelt bristled with excitement. His claws hadn't torn flesh for a long time, and he was itching to use his warrior training; regardless, he knew the Kittypet would likely run at the sight of them. Besides, he knew no warrior should look for a fight when something can be settled otherwise.

H o n e y sat perched atop her fence. It was long and white with wide slats, so the queen was sitting comfortably. Her gaze flicked to the sky - it was sunny, though the air was chilly. She was certain winter would come soon. A shiver went up her spine. The queen had seen many seasons, most spent comfortably in her Twoleg home. She enjoyed her life with her Housefolk.
Still, days like this, when the air ruffled her shirt fur and made the bell on her silver collar jingle furiously, she stared longingly into the forest. So much of my heart is still out there. I have so much regret.
Honey pushed to her paws, shaking out her pelt, as if to shake away the negative thoughts. I can't think like that. Still, the queen enjoyed the forest. She leaped down, sniffing carefully, growing closer to EagleClan territory. She had trained as a warrior. Her skills weren't needed now, but she'd learned a lot, and still occasionally hunted, when she missed the taste of fresh-kill. Cautiously, she scented the air for a patrol. She wouldn't want to run into any of her old Clanmates - or her daughter. Would she even recognize me?

Sunflare seemed a bit surprised by the question. "Well, she's Blizzardclaw's apprentice, not mine," he laughed. "So I'm not really sure. But I bet she's doing great. Aren't you, Bearpaw?" he asked, turning to the apprentice.

"I should hope so," Tigerblaze murmured before following her gaze to the horseplace. He said nothing, only flicked his tail from side to side.

Riverstripe padded along quietly, wondering if the tension in the air could be felt by Weaselstripe and Fallenstone as well. He couldn't help but feel a little invisible; Dappleleaf and Fallenstone both clearly had feelings for Weaselstripe, and Weaselstripe seemed to like them both equally, but where did Riverstripe stand? He was just there, someone for Dappleleaf to talk to when she was no longer the center of Weaselstripe's attention, but no one that anyone actually seemed to care to have around. Perhaps I should've stayed out hunting by myself longer, he thought dejectedly. He was pulled out of his thoughts when EagleClan scent suddenly hit his nose. He had started to lag behind and only now realized how close they were to the border. As they approached further, he spotted a gray tabby tom on the other side, who he quickly recognized as Swiftbadger. The EagleClan warrior looked to have just caught and buried something, although Riverstripe was too far away to see what.

Splashpaw's eyes widened a bit at her friend's suggestion. "You don't really think EagleClan would do such a thing, do you?" she asked him. "You said it yourself, those weren't warrior attacks. They didn't look like cat attacks at all. No, whatever did that must have been something much bigger and more dangerous." She realized the thought of something "much bigger and more dangerous" in their territory wasn't exactly comforting, but to her at least, it was a better thought than that of a Clan cat doing such a thing. She couldn't believe that any cat, EagleClan or OakClan, would be so savage. And if there was a predator so vicious lurking around, then it was important that the two Clans look out for one another.

EagleClan

Southstar made sure that Russetswirl and Stagpaw had crossed safely before crossing himself alongside the rest of the patrol. He nodded at Acornspots. "Yes. Once we get to the Greenleaf Twolegplace, we'll start Stagpaw's assessment. Sound good to you, Streamspot?" he asked his deputy.

Nightwish blinked at him, trying to think of something comforting to say. "You don't burden anyone," she murmured after a short pause, "and you're a great medicine cat. I don't know why StarClan chose you for this path, but I'm sure they have their reasons." She shuffled her paws before adding, "But I'd switch places with you in a heartbeat if it meant you could live the life you wanted."

After burying her squirrel, Littleflower decided to catch up with Swiftbadger. They were supposed to be hunting in pairs, after all. It didn't long for her to find her denmate, who had just finished remarking the border. "Catch anything?" she asked him.

He shook his head slightly. "I don't understand why some of these laws were put into place but like star clan says to us medicine cats, yes we have kin and our clan are our kits. Sometimes company is nice though. I see how russetswirl must have felt before i embraced my true path." He looked at her and smiled slightly. He sighed lightly," I can trust you won't tell any other cat if i tell you this right?"

They said When Darkness comes on a Jackdaw's wings, day's Golden light will Fall, but beware the darkness arriving on the jackdaw wings may create danger, life as you know it now may cease to exist." His pelt bristled slightly. "I think something is coming, something that will change everything."

Streamspots slowed and removed her tail as they reached the other side of the thunderpath. Stagpaw had crossed it without hesitation and quickly. Streamspot blinked at her approvingly. At Southstar's question she nodded. "Yes that should be fine." She wondered of he was headed that way because of what she had mentioned earlier. She opened her mouth scenting the wind.

Blizzardclaw sighs as he nodded in agreement, "especially since they knew I was just right here talking to you. Bearpaw even was looking at me when she camp back into camp, she knows better." He lets out a sigh again as he had stretched on his way up. "I could and send them on their patrol they were going on all together and just take Bearpaw on a training session." He thought out loud some before he glanced at Beestar. "I'll stay close to camp with Bearpaw in case something happens," he told his leader as he headed out of camp.
He sniffed the air some before he followed after their scents. "Sunflare," he called as he soon when he saw the three cats from a distance. His tone was slightly annoyed, his tail swaying fast side to side - he felt a bit disrespected by not asking permission for his apprentice to go with them as a mentor but also as a deputy he felt that way too.

Weaselstripe soon could see the warrior from Eagleclan, he remembered meeting him once at a gathering between the two clans. He sighs and glanced back at Riverstripe, "I think I scent another patrol too upstream towards the two leg place. Should we mark our border here then head over there?" He hadn't lead a patrol before, ever patrol he just followed orders from the senior warrior. He felt a bit odd with feeling the tension forming between the two she-cats, perhaps he shouldn't have been so inviting to Fallenstone. He could tell even Riverstripe seemed a bit annoyed from it.

The cats seemed to be near the border, hunting as she believed it was Swiftbadger holding a vole in his mouth. " I hope they cross the border." She mumbled under her breath. It was extremely nervey of them to hunt this close to Oakclans border. Swiftbadger seemed to notice them and head his head up proudly holding the vole. Oh how her claws ached to sink them into his fur..
