batpaw nodded. "i know... that's going to be the hardest part," the ebony tom said quietly. i can hold a grudge that lasts a lifetime, but in my position i can't. starclan, i don't want to be known as the grumpy rude medicine cat the no one likes. an ear twitch. "sounds great," the ebony tom stated honestly, taking a slight detour to grab a bit of moss he scented. tucking it under his chin, the tall tom opened his maw then to speak, but closed it again. i'm sure he doesn't want to hear anything depressing. i'll leave him be to think.

Thunderpaw snorted. "That's right, be an obedient little kit." He mewed attempting to taunt Frost and trick her to rebelling against Creekpaw. Thunderpaw looked to Nightpaw. "I can't go yet, they'll notice this wound on my cheek, go while you can Nightpaw! I don't want you getting into trouble." He mewed and froze as he scented a patrol coming, one of them was Solsticetalon.

Solsticetalon trotted ahead after Ashpaw who bolted, he wasn't taking it seriously. "They must be playing some sort of game again, Creekpaw is dead." He mewed.

cherrytail snorted. "ashpaw seems pretty frightened to me. youngsters are rebellious and troublesome, but i doubt they'd do something that foolish. besides, most of the time they like to pretend they are warriors already- feigning terrified just seems odd," the red molly commented, before narrowing her unique gaze. "maybe it's another rogue that they mistook for creekpaw because of some elders' tale. a threat nonetheless."

Frost
Frost stared at Thunderpaw. She wanted to just claw his eyes out, but she stayed in place.

Nightpaw
"It doesn't matter! We will die if they attack!" Nightpaw resisted.

Thunderpaw gave Frost a glare before turning to Nightpaw. "A patrol is coming, you'd better get out of here before you get in trouble too!" He whispered to her.

Solsticetalon rolled his eyes. "Rogues..." He spat. "They act as though they are kits who need parenting, let's get this over and done with." He mewed picking up the pace.

firefly studied batpaw intently. something seemed off. he was almost sure that his apprentice to be had been about to say something, but had refrained. "are you okay? i sense that you're not telling me something. i thought we just promised to always tell each other the truth?"

creekpaw narrowed his eyes. "he's playing mind games with you, frost. don't get worked up," he mewed quietly. "perhaps the older cats will prove to you that creekpaw does in fact exist,"

"N-no it's really him; he j-jumped down from a tree and told us, but before that a rouge of his tried to steal Nightpaw and he scratched Thunderpaw's cheek so I pulled his tail to stop him from getting away, then another rouge of Creekpaw's named Fost came out, I think she's second in command she started threatening us and saying she'd come with creekpaw and kill us all, I don't think she likes thunderpaw much but yet again she didn't seem to like anyone else," Ashpaw finished explaining and was out of breath.

Nightpaw
Nightpaw shook her head. "I'm not leaving, we're in this together." she whispered. It wasn't fair for Thunderpaw if she just left and got out of trouble.

Frost
Frost nodded. She sat straight staring at Thunderpaw with her emotionless cold eyes. She unsheathed her claws.

Thunderpaw was curious as to why these older cats followed this younger rogue, was he actually Creekpaw then. "If I were you I'd run...whatever your name is." He said to Creekpaw and looked at Nightpaw with sorrowful but thankful eyes. "Are you sure?"

Solsticetalon put his tail over Ashpaw's mouth to stop her. "just lead the way Ashpaw, explanations waste time."

"agreed." cherrytail increased her pace was well, nose twitching as she did her best to stay on the scent trial ashpaw had left. cypressclan is doing quite well. i think it's foolish for rogues to challenge us now, but regardless, we'll see what's going on soon enough. ashpaw's story was quite odd. "why didn't thunderpaw and nightpaw flee? creekpaw can't possibly know cypressclan territory as well as they do."

batpaw felt his nape prickle yet again. "i'm okay..." his whiskers twitched. "sorry," he added hastily, his ears flattening. his slate eyes flickered to away from firefly, and he hesitated. how do i tell firefly this? "age wasn't the only thing stopping me from becoming an apprentice." hesitating, batpaw began lightly pawing at the ground before him. "did you really mean what you said before? about me being so... helpful? because last i tried to aid my clan in such a... respectable way... they ended up killed. every. last. one of them. and they were no ordinary clan... they'd been to the dark forest and back."
