Skyfrost's ears pricked up in interest. 'A den..' she pondered, still watching the cats through her one good eye.

"Alright," Hawkstar replied. "The rest of us will head back to camp. Are you sure you don't want anyone to come with you?" He was worried that the badger might come back.

"I'll be fine, I know what to do if I see the badger." Rivermist meowed, blinking. "And I know it's not yelling at it, in case you were wondering." She meowed a bit bitterly, remembering what had caused the skirmsh with the badger. "If I don't come by midnight, then something has happened. With any luck, I should be back by sundown."

Skyfrost bristled angrily, glaring at Rivermist through her good eye. She stalked closer, silent as she began to follow Rivermist, fur still standing up.

The gathering was coming up soon, and Hawkstar had to prepare. He still didn't know what he was going to say about the badger. If Rivermist was successful in finding that the badger was gone, he could simply suggest that the other clans keep a lookout. If not...
Be careful, Rivermist, Hawkstar suddenly thought. He sighed and looked out at the clan from the opening of his den. He also had other things to worry about; Leaf-fall had arrived. Hopefully his clanmates wouldn't start coughing.

Hawkstar padded over to the Medicine Cat den. "Treefur?" he called. "Are you there?"

Treefur walked outside of his den, looking strangely tired. "Yes, Hawkstar?" He rubbed his head with a single paw, as if he was trying to clear his head.

Rivermist padded rather quickly, wanting to get the job over with. She leaped over a bushes, looking around. It has to be around here, somewhere. She thought to herself. Her ears perked up when she heard pawsteps and stood still, trying to track down the sound. "Who's there?" She hissed.

Skyfrost froze, holding her breath, utterly silent, her scent still masked.

Riverfrost's mottled fur bristled, while her green eyes were narrowed with anger and worry. She walked around in a half-circle before stopping, showing that she wasn't afraid to fight. "Leave now or I shall have to report you to Hawkstar!" She threaten.

[Golden Sun]

"Have you heard any news from the other medicine cats about sicknesses lately? I don't want--" Hawkstar began to cough. After a couple of heartbeats, he was back to normal. "I don't want anyone to get sick," he finished.

Treefur shook his head. "No, but I should soon, I think. You might need some Catmint and Honey, though, for that cough of yours."
