Wings of Fire: The Darkest Hour (Not Accepting)

Snowstorm was splayed on the ground, her underbelly still bleeding badly. She opened her eyes slightly, her vision blurred from both blood loss and blood dropping into her eyes. She clenched her teeth, biting back a yelp of pain. "Rift.." she said softly, her voice cracked a little. She opened her mouth, the hissing-like noise coming out, and she blasted a cloud of frostbreath straight at the NightWings gathered on the SeaWing.

[AGGUA!]

Chaoscaller-
Chaoscaller avoided the claw easily, but felt frostbreath slam into her neck, she howled, shoving the seawing away, feeling a chill run through her entire body. "YOU LITTLE-!" Chaoscaller slammed her talons down on Snowstorm's neck, bringing them up to her snout and forcing her to look at her. "It's time you had a TALK with FORESEER," she snarled, spreading her wings and lunging into the sky with the limp icewing dangling from her talons.

"Snowstorm!" Starkeeper shouted with fake worry once again, but a little louder. And it almost sounded like real worry, and it felt the same way.
Dreamjumper lunged towards Starkeeper, letting go of Rift, feeling frostbreath on his tail. It wasn't bothering him quite yet - insanity and all - but it likely would a while after he got back into the volcano. He pinned the other NightWing down, clutching her shoulders hard enough that scratches formed where the tips of his dark talons met her scales. Dreamjumper moved his talons around, getting a decent grip on Starkeeper, and took off.
Starkeeper thrashed around, smoke drifting out of her nostrils. DREAMJUMPER! You idiot!

Snowstorm didn't feel like fighting back. She was dizzy and slightly nauseous, and she went limp under Chaoscaller as she took off. Oh, great. Like she needed to see their psycho queen again. "I'd rather die than meet that creep again," she hissed weakly. "Why take only me? What purpose do I serve that the others don't? Isn't it easier to take us all?"

[AGGUA!]

Chaoscaller-
"Then you can ask her yourself," Chaoscaller hissed, raising her talons and smacking Snowstorm's snout roughly. "But right now, maybe you should keep your mouth shut." Chaoscaller landed near near the base of the volcano, looking back one last time, then vanished into the shadows.

Rift had expected the pain to go away- for it all to go away -but it didn't. Inching his left eye open, he saw a blurry image of Starkeeper being pinned by another NightWing, but that was all. His other eye was crusted shut with blood and he could not lift his head. His gills burbled with blood. They stung like hell, but Rift wasn't about to let that stop him from fighting for his friends. Spreading his claws- stretching the webbing was agony, but he had to -and reaching forward, he grasped a pebble in a trembling talon and sent it hurtling at Dreamjumper. His aim was probably off, but he'd rather die than watch one of his friends do so.

"Animusss," Dreamjumper hissed quietly, getting the feeling Snowstorm already knew why.
At least let me fly by you, insane idiot! Starkeeper thought to Dreamjumper, looking between him and Snowstorm. Dreamjumper suddenly let go of Starkeeper, causing her to drop for a few heartbeats before realizing and spreading her wings. She lifted to where she flew the same level as Dreamjumper, although about two feet away from the tip of his larger wings.
Starkeeper glanced back at the injured Rift, fighting back the urge to help him. Maybe Pharaoh, the other dragonets, or Bayou would help him, but she decided not to quite yet. She wanted to know what Foreseer would do with Snowstorm before returning.
Dreamjumper flinched as a dark pebble hit his flank, but didn't do much else. It was probably Rift, making a futile attempt to save his friend - or to Rift, friends.

Bayou walked out of the cave, curious upon hearing the commotion, and paused midstep as he spotted a bloody Rift and three NightWings flying off. The MudWing rushed over to the SeaWing, crouching beside him. "Rift! Are you alright? What happened?" He slid his forearm under Rift's left one, helping the SeaWing up.

Rift let his talon drop, coughing weakly and too agonized to realize it was crimson that was exiting his maw. I failed, he thought once. Mental silence. Then a tidal wave of pain and fear and disappointment and failure struck him, and his eye flew shut. A stream of hot tears leaked down his face. The words I failed chanted in an endless loop in his mind. He only numbly realized the MudWing had tried to help him.

Chaoscaller-
Chaoscaller entered the volcano, slinging the icewing over her broad shoulders as she trudged down the corridor, hissing at any nightwings she passed. She saw the entrance to the throne room but paused, growling to herself, before ducking and slinking through. When she saw Foreseer, she raised her head, as though to challenge her authority, but didn't say anything. Instead, she leaned to one side, and the icewing slipped off, falling to the ground at her side.
