(Yay Willow! Don't cry. *pats head* I'm sorry I was gone, but you guys have done a good job keeping it alive.
I will get right to work on that. I'm excited to see how this little power club will turn out.
Oh, and all the new characters are accepted. I looked them over and they seem fine. Will add them to the front page asap!)
~FireClan~
Firekit rolled her eyes and smiled, sitting down heavily. She was silent for a moment, batting at a stray feather and thinking. When she did finally speak, her voice was softer and gentler. "What do you think your kits will be like, Ebonyclaw?" Firekit sometimes wondered about this. Would they be cute? Would she be able to play with them? Would they even like her?
~Warriors of the Dawn~
Heathersong watched Islandsong intently until she conveniently disappeared into the cloud of disrupted dirt. As the dust settled, the medicine cat glanced back at Melodykit. Would she need extra help? The tiny kit appeared fascinated by the battle move, and immediately began spinning around awkwardly in circles. Her newborn legs looked as if they would buckle any second. Before they could, the kit's downy tail hit the ground and flung a little puff of dust into the air. She plopped down in triumph to let the world stop spinning. Heathersong grinned and began practicing herself. She started by just flicking the dirt with her tail a couple times. When she added the quick spin, she teetered out of balance. The dust she had stirred up only covered about half of her, and it was thin. Oh, well.
Dirtpath smiled back at Whisperpaw and thought for a second. "If Leafshadow wouldn't mind helping out," the tom looked up from his paws, "I'd like to show you and Ravenkit how a real battle works." The spotted she-cat flicked her tail, beckoning the other warrior. He stood and approached her, his movements almost suspicious. "Claws sheathed, of course." Dirtpath backed up so she was facing Leafshadow. Their eyes met and the two warriors prepared themselves. The she-cat counted in her head, One, two, three. She gave a barely visible nod and sprang at the tom. He rolled out of her way and sprang back up, slamming his front paws down on her back. Dirtpath crumpled to the ground. Leafshadow pretended to scrape at her back and then jumped quickly off of her, deciding to worry her tail gently instead. The she-cat whipped around and smacked him square on the jaw, sending him reeling off to the side. It hadn't been too hard, but his mouth might be sore tomorrow. While he was recovering his footing, Dirtpath hooked her front paws under his back legs, knocking him to the ground again. He rolled over and she stood on top of him, letting her claws come out just enough to poke the soft flesh of his underside. Leafshadow rolled his eyes and gave a small smile. His paws fell to his sides, admitting defeat. Dirtpath stepped off of the other warrior and looked back and forth between Ravenkit and Whisperpaw, trying to register some kind of reaction. "That, young cats, is how tto win a battle."
(Not really sure how Snowclaw's group will get goin, with Shadow inactive and all. Maybe I'll write something simple for her, but that will have to wait for tomorrow. 'Night, guys!)
