He ignored the apprentice's remark and instead listened for any sounds in the dirt as his eyes were still blinded from sand grits that were stuck in them. Hearing her pawsteps yet again. He tried to move away but it was too late and the apprentice had attacked him, making him skid in the dirt. With some force he made himself go upward, some of his side easily scraped. His eyes welled with tears of pain. The tom bit back a yowl of pain and like a flash of lightning he darted across where he had skid, lunging himself sideways at the apprentice's side.

Rootclaw nodded, and got to his paws, disappearing through the bramble entrance.
"Yes!" Lobeliakit replied, trying not to laugh as she batted clumsily at his head with her front paws.
Brighteyes watched the two fight, her eyes glowing with concern. She forced herself to stay rooted to the spot so that she didn't say anything.

Brighteyes sighed with relief, her muscles relaxing as Scarletstar broke up the fight. She was glad that her leader did, because if she hadn't, Brighteyes would've had to jump in. She watched Larkpaw as she calmed down from the battle, adrenaline still rushing through her veins. Her icy blue gaze narrowed as she studied the she-cat. She was a skilled fighter, though she lacked the state of mind, just as Lionstrike had when he was an apprentice. "It was supposed to be a mentoring session, Larkpaw." She meowed, her tone deep, and full of wisdom, "Not a fight."

Brighteyes nodded, though her eyes were still narrowed. She knew that that was true, she had even thought so herself, but she was still annoyed since it wasn't what Stormfeather had been prepared for. "Go retrieve one of the younger apprentices." She dismissed Larkpaw, in hopes that it'd be easier to teach a younger cat.
Lobeliakit eventually pushed her brother off, and scrambled after her mother and other siblings.
Sablekit sat at the entrance to the nursery.

Larkpaw growled. "Fine." She meowed, turning around. Larkpaw was a beautiful shecat, but she was very toughf with a short anger. She scanned around camp to find one of the younger appretinces.
Spottedkit trotted passed Sablekit and into the nursery.
Wrenkit chased after Lobeliakit.
