Azaria looked at Novia then looked at Cody. "Uh, I'll let you guys have your time." She smiled kind of sadly and looked down at her hooves. She looked down at her hooves then made long eye contact with Cody, blushed, then ran off towards Esmerelda. She looked back at Cody once more before making it to the mare.

Cody watched her leave puzzled, 'Do you know what that was about?" he asked coolly. He was a dummy for not noticing the signs, but he was never good at any kinds of romance or flirting. He shook it off and looked back at Novia, "Would you like to go for a swim with me then? Im good for another dip!" He flashed his charming smile and gestured towards the cool water. He was starting to notice the hot day and the little shade the tree was providing.

"Sure, I'd like to go for a swim, it's getting a little hot anyways." she giggled before making her way into the water.

She backed up from Esmerelda then laid down under a shady tree. Azaria kept sneaking glances at Cody. She couldn't get over his eyes.and how gentle he looked to her.

The mare smiled. She took a step forward. "I'm Esmeralda.. it's very nice to meet you". She saw that Azaria kept looking at the stallion and she decided to ask her, "Would you like to go over there and play with them? Maybe we can all travel together and stick together as a team. I think that would be nice, don't you?".

Pruina inhaled deeply, frost-coloured eyes brushing across a sudden stir of activity in the trees. An egret, no threat to her. Still, as she trod slowly along the edge of the riverbank, she couldn't help but instinctively scan the water for any sign of danger. Cottonmouths, alligators, any predator was a potential threat to her. Though she had a sturdy build, she was small, and a large alligator could mean the end of her. Cautiously bending her head down to take a quick drink, Pruina noticed with relief that there seemed to be no immediate threats nearby, though there was always the possibility of black bears, red wolves, or bobcats lurking in the trees. For the time being, she seemed to be safe.

A sudden noise caused her to dart back into the cover of the tall trees, and warily she peered into the water. An alligator? No, the sound had come from further downstream. Turning her head slightly at an angle allowed Pruina to glimpse around the riverbend, where she could make out the faint shape of a blue roan overo Kelpie that was standing next to the water. Pruina shifted slightly from her standing position, wondering if she ought to try and become acquainted with other Kelpies. She was a loner, and if the other Kelpie she had just seen was also a loner, she might be risking a battle over territory. However, the sight of a brown mare comforted her slightly; surely two Kelpies would be a bit more amiable?

As Pruina moved further down the river, towards the two Kelpies, she noticed another two a small distance away, who she could now recognize as two mares. Pruina was still wary of males, though the one she had initially sighted seemed friendly enough. Which group ought she to join? Lost in thought, Pruina tripped over a low-hanging branch, and stumbled rather ungracefully into the water. The splash was loud enough to echo all the way to the mountains, she thought to herself, and tried to get back to the shore before they could notice that she was there. Flicking her drenched tail nervously, Pruina continued standing in the cover of the trees, her long, spiraling horns the only indication that she was there.

Esmeralda snickered in a friendly way and flicked her tail, motioning the new strange mare to come over. The mare reminded Esmeralda of herself, because of how shy she was. She smiled at her.
