"Oh," Fireflower glanced down, but perked up when she heard Darkfang say, 'freshkill.' "Certainly. I'd love to eat with you. Do you want to show me where it is? I'm kinda new here....so....I don't exactly know where everything is...."

Darkfang nodded. "Of course I will, Fireflower." He padded to the fresh-kill pile hidden near one of the four trees. "Here it is!" He cried. He picked up a mouse for himself and padded a little off to the clearing, waiting for Fireflower to pick her prey and to join him.

Fireflower smiled and slowly dug through the kill-pile. She finally decided on a squirrel and padded over to Darkfang. "Thanks for eating with me. I feel....grateful to you. Not very many cats have actually walked up and said anything to me. I....I think they're afraid of me. You know, since I'm not a clan cat."

Darkfang swallowed his bite of mouse. "It's ok. I'm only being courteous. and don't worry about them. They'll warm up to you sooner or later. Everyone's really just staying to themselves thanks to this whole "Oneclan" thing. But once everyone gets used to this new clan, they'll start getting used to you too," He purred. "You're a very nice cat, Fireflower. The cats just have to get to know you first."

Fireflower smiled as she took another bite of squirrel. "Thank you. Now, could you explain this, 'sharing tongues' thing to me? I'm not quite certain what it is."

Darkfang purred. "Oh, Sharing tongues. That's an easy one! Sharing tongues is when you wash each other's pelts. Like I was yours, and you wash mine. It's a symbol of respect and a good way of making new friends. Or at least in my experiences that's how it's been."

Fireflower nodded her head. "Once you're done eating, could we try it?" Fireflower gulped down the last of her squirrel. "Oh, and what do I do with the bones? I generally don't eat them."

Cremekit's eyes widened in fear. She dropped the tail. "Please don't drop me!"

Wolfpaw backed up and placed her down on the rock. He laughed and pat the kit's head with the tip of his tail. "No need to worry. You had higher chances of slipping out my mouth than me dropping you." He gave her a big smile to show her that there's nothing to worry about.
