Waterpaw piped up in excitement," Can I fight it too? It would be my first big fight! I would learn from it too!" she mewed,her claws digging in the dirt with excitement. Her clear blue eyes sparkled, and her muscles flexed.

Hawksky narrowed his eyes. "You can fight. But don't do anything too risky or mouse-brained. If you get hurt, I'll never forgive myself. But also be ready to run back to camp if you need to or if we need you too." Hawksky knew the urge to fight that Waterpaw was feeling, he had felt it too, but he was also a bit protective of his apprentice.

Sugarheart and Cloudpaw were rushinng over to the scene. "Mind if we help?" sugarheart asked with a mischevious glimmer in her emerald green eyes.

"I like Hawksky's idea." Amberheart said. She looked around. "I will go with Goldflower if you want?"

"No! Go away! Its not like we need all the help we can get while fighting a fox!" Hawksky joked. He flicked Sugarheart's nose good-heartedly and filled her in on the plan. "Amberheart? Is Cloudpaw fit to fight?" he asked the apprnetice's mentor. "I'll go with Waterpaw."

Princess (or should I start calling her Forestpaw?) followed Sandstar back to the camp. Flickerheart noticed them coming and smelled intruder. She hissed then meweled "Mosspaw! Come here." Mosspaw came running and smelling intruder meweled. "Who's this?" He was notibly more polite than Flickerheart.

"He should be fine. As long as he says with us." Amberheart said and walked to one side of the fox. "Ready?"

Hawkheart nodded. "I'm ready." He narrowed his eyes.

"I don't have a partner yet!" hissed Nightsplash.

Sandstar tilted her head at Flickerheart. "This is Forestpaw. She is my new apprentice."
