The tom then listened intensely before perking his ears up at the name part. "Ohhh! My mom thought I looked like a fuzzy squirrel when I was born so that's why she named me that! The kittypet then looked down for once and tilted his head at what the tom was doing. "How many are there in MarshClan? Are they as nice as you?" The ginger cat asked hopefully, his eyes shinning at potential friends.

♔ "As young as you are, you still look like one... it's rather fitting," he noted, an amused smile appearing on his feline face. Then he repeated to himself the kittypet's questions. Did he really know how many cats were in the clan? He supposed he really ought to, considering he had to take care of all of them. "As for your questions... we are a very friendly clan, though we do have a few members who are a little more distant. They aren't necessarily bad cats, though, and we treat one another like we would family. Oh, and we are about twenty-four strong... though it could be 25 if you decided to come home with me." He cringed internally at the way he finished that last sentence. Talk about sounding like a creep! No matter; he figured Squirrel would understand what he was trying to say one way or another.

♔ His stomach full of rabbit, the tom stood up to dispose of the remains. Before doing so, however, he took a moment to scan the camp; he was still amazed their new leader had trusted him with the safekeeping of the cats among him. He allowed himself a peaceful smile before picking up what used to be his meal and taking care of it.

♔ "Well, good news is that we are pretty much already there. It's actually not too far away from camp," the warrior admitted, flicking her ear when a some bug flew by. She then turned back towards the path and kept walking, knowing the apprentice would not fall behind.

♔ When Sandbranch woke after his nap, he got up so as to not disturb any of the other cats that may have been in there, then exited the den. There he stretched his legs with a big yawn, then sat down and looked up into the sky. He quite enjoyed gazing at the clouds sometimes, as they were surprisingly calming, yet interesting at the same time because they could form many different shapes.

♔ With one last glance back at the beautiful warrior, Badgerpaw stood up, wanting something to do. He needed to make up for how idiotic he had just behaved in front of such a wonderful feline, so he figured he could go out hunting or do some training or something.

♔ The apprentice followed her clan leader out of the safe confines of the camp. She was so full of energy she could almost run around he border three times! Well, she supposed she was exaggerating a bit, but her energy seemed limitless nonetheless.

Squirrel then tilted his head at the older cats last sentence. "Come home? But I already have a home back there. Do you think I can go with you and be back before it gets really dark?" The ginger tom asked as the young cat didn't quite understand what Brambleleaf was offering him.

♔ The older tom frowned, thinking for a moment. How many times would Thornstar kill him if he decided to bring a kittypet back for a short visit? Probably a great many, but he wasn't always one for rules, especially when it meant possibly helping other cats. "I think we may be able to arrange something like that," he finally nodded, a small smile re-appearing on his face. He then turned around and took a few steps in the direction of Marshclan. He wasn't too far away, so he hoped the young kittypet wouldn't get too tired. "If you want to come with me, my home is this way."

He then stood up taller in excitement. The tom hadn't really been out of his home ever, and now he wished he went out sooner! This'll be the greatest adventure ever! The ginger cat thought to himself before taking a step towards Bramblelead. "I'm right behind you!"

♔ Brambleleaf let out a low chuckle as the kittypet responded, then lead the way all the way back to camp. It was a path he had taken numerous times before, so he knew it shouldn't be too taxing on the young cat. But just as they approached the entrance to the camp, the medicine cat stopped and turned around. "Welcome to my home," he finally purred, ushering the small cat inside. He was lucky he didn't see Thornstar anywhere, but he did think he spotted the new deputy...

As he followed the tom, his paws felt a little sore, but he didn't want to complain to the much older tom who didn't show any sign of tiredness. As he walked into the camp, he looked around with his eyes widen in awe at everything around him. "They smell like you, but they also don't?" Squirrel said, trying to explain his thought when he saw a big longhaired grey tabby close by.

♔ "You have a good nose!" the tom chuckled. "We all smell similar because we live together, but we also smell different because we are all very different cats," he then proceeded to explain to the curious kittypet. "Every cat smells like their home, so you smell a bit like two-legs, among other things."

"Is smelling like a twoleg bad?" Squirrel asked with a small tilt of his head as he watched some of the other cats walking around, unsure if they had scented him yet. "Can I meet another cat? Will they be as nice as you are?" The tom asked hopefully as this was his chance to finally make friends.

Snowpaw - Female - 11 moons - Location: in camp - Tag: Brambleleaf, Squirrel

Motion at the camp entrance caught Snowpaw's eye. 'Thornstar's patrol couldn't be back that fast right?' She turned her head to get a better look at who it was and cocked her head in confusion at what she saw. She leapt up from where she was sitting and trotted over warily. "Hello Brambleleaf," Snowpaw dipped her head in respect to the medicine cat, "who's this?" she asked, peering at the young orange cat. Now that she was closer, she got a better whiff of his scent and unconciously wrinkled her nose at the unfamiliar odor. Well no, not completely unfamiliar. He smelled similar to the twoleg paths but much stronger and less woodsy. 'So not one of those troublesome rogues then at least!'
