Fire;; Bur
Perhaps the rain was hard. Perhaps it was ice cold and numbed the cats to the bone. Perhaps it was so noisy kits had to nestle under their mother's stomach to douse the sound of the patter. Perhaps Bur felt it all, letting himself die from the inside out. But perhaps he wasn't.
It was lonley here. The metal plate made high-pitched tings and pings that caused Bur to linger. The sound was marvelous to Bur and he was a fly pestering the area calmly, interested about the noise. No other cat was here, nor were the humans. They abandoned this large factory years ago, and only the cats stuck around here.
He waited for another feline to pass by and order him to hunt for food. He hadn't done much in days and was tired of the petty boredom that stalked his mind.
