BANDEDOWL | Warrior | Male
Bandedowl noted the clear length in front of him, and turned his whole body to look back as Icetalon was tugged to the ground. He skidded a few feet, dust drifting up in a great cloud, in a moment he was by the toms side, his energy allowing him to move so quickly.
"You alright?" He asked, ears flatted and claws sheathing and unsheathing in impatience. He took this moment to try and locate the exact source of the blood scent, his mouth open as if he were panting. The tom was far from tired however, even panting escaped him. He swiveled his flattened ears back, seeing if there was any noise in the direction of the stench. He narrowed his eyes, since he was facing the opposite direction of the path they were taking it was slightly difficult to concentrate sound. The delicate hairs in his ears suppressed a shiver as light, resonating waves of air were manipulated a small distance off. He twisted around immediately, eyes wide and scanning the forest in front of him, his ears were pricked and at attention, the whole of his senses working together. As if it were a little too coincidental, he picked up a faint, small voice from further ahead, the silence of the forest allowing him to hear as far away as he did. His ears moved like satellite dishes, the muffled sound waves a bit to far away to make out the words they created.
Bandedowl could hardly conceal the smile that tugged at his lips, his eyes were shining with anticipation.
"C'mon," He grunted, blowing a great bit of dust from Icetalon's face. "We're nearly there, I can taste it... almost quite literally..." He made a disgusted face and rubbed his tongue against the roof of his mouth as if he'd just swallowed a bit of crowfood.
VIVACE | Loner | Female
Vivace suppressed a muffled grunt as she turned her head to get a good view of her new acquaintance, an aching setting in around her shoulders as she did so. She looked him over from head to toe, her steady, observant blue eyes taking in every detail.
"Don't worry about climbing the tree mate," She breathed, "You can reach the... The fibers from where your standing, just... Cut them loose, and the branch... The branch will come to you... You can figure out what to do from there or... or if I'm lucky... I may just, be able to work my way out." She instructed throatily, through clenched teeth, grunting every time she paused and drawing in a quick breath. The impact of the branch fully hitting the ground could likely kill her, and the loner knew that, but if she wasn't dead already then it was well worth a shot.
