"Great!" Brightshine leapt up and padded off, then looked back for her to follow.

Russetwing jumped up and padded after him, "Where are we going?' she asked.

"Just...out." Brightshine smiled. His little surprise was prepared. "This way!"

Russetwing followed, glancing about the woods warily. "Okay" she answered.

Brightshine bounded forward until it opened into a small clearing lined with trees. Flower petals were scattered around the edge, and a flat rock lay in the middle, a freshly caught rabbit upon it. Brightshine picked up a flower near the clearing edge and placed it behind Russetwing's ear. "There."

Russetwing's eyes widened and her jaw dropped, "You...did this for me?" she said in shock. No one had ever done anything like this for her before, she had grown used to being the loner of the clan.
