"What are you a medicine cat now?" Pikeflower snapped without thinking. The tom didn't just dislike blood the sight and smell of it brought up memories he preferred to leave buried and often resulted in his getting sick. He suddenly lifted his paw again and used his teeth to quickly pull the thorn out, his eyes closed as he did so. After dropping the thorn he said, "There, happy?" His voice sounded strained as he tried not to let the smell of blood get to him too much.
