Giving one last smile to Flamestar, Blazehowl turned back to her mate and tilted her head in confusion. "What are you thinking about?"

"Just the kits. I have the right to be fairly excited about it, you know." He smiled as he joked lightly. The tom sighed with contentment. He had a loving mate, kits on the way, a loyal clan and a supporting brother.

[bawnbawn.]

Blazehowl softly laughed. "I know, I know." She grinned, her ear flickering once as she carefully sat down on her hunches. "So have you got any names picked out?" She questioned, wanting to hear Blackwillow's opinion on what they should call their kits.

"I think if there are any toms, I'd like the name Aspenkit, because me and Flamestar were born in the aspen grove near the end of the pines." He thought for a moment before speaking again. "Or maybe Fawnkit for a she-kit, after our mother, Shyfawn."

[bawnbawn.]

Blazehowl patiently listened to Blackwillow think about names with curious eyes, a large smile crossing her face when he was done. "I love both of those names; if we have 2 she-kits and a tom, I promise you that those are what their names will be. In honour of your mother and birthplace." She concluded, loving his reason for the names as much as the names themselves.

Blackwillow purred and licked her muzzle. He looked at the rising sun. "I'm going hunting, I'll bring you back something."

"That'd be nice, thank you." Blazehowl mewed with appreciation before her gaze travelled to the dense forest. "I can't wait to go hunting again, these kits are keeping me cooped up here."

Blackwillow nodded and padded through the forest, searching for prey. He finally saw a rabbit and instinctively dropped into a crouch, silently weaving through grass and brush to get to the rabbit. When he was close enough to hear the rabbit breathing, he pounced, trapping the prey under his paws and nipped it's main artery to kill it. He decided that Blazehowl and Deerleap could share the prey, so he headed back, slipping through the gorse barrier and delivering it to the nursery.

Deerleap dipped her head to the warrior when he delivered the rabbit and mewed, "You can eat first, Blazehowl. Your mate caught it."
