Shard looked over at Nikie. "Why does that scare you?"

"A loner found her way onto our territory." Sontag replied.

Nikie laughed and gestured to Cole who was knawing on Shard's tail. "He's a pup, why wouldn't it scare me? He'll get into twice as much trouble."

Shard smiles as he looks down at the pup. "Don't worry, I'll watch out for him."

Echo:
"I see." Echo says, examining the wolf in front of her. "You said your names was Everest?"

Everest nodded, her demeanor quite cold and reserved.

Echo nods. "What are we going to do with her?" She asks Sontag quietly.

"Come, I'll bet you two antlers that you're hungry." Sontag said to Everest.

Everest was tempted to say no, as it was against what her pack had taught her. But the hunger had gotten to her, and she decided to go with the brute. "Indeed." She stated simply.

Shard looks into Nikie's eyes and smiles. "We'll look after him."

Echo:
Echo nods. "I sent some hunters out, and the prey-pile is full."

Sontag nodded to Echo then looked at Everest. "then you owe me two antlers." he teased as he led the way to camp.
