Wings of Fire: The Darkest Hour (Not Accepting)

Pharaoh bit his lip, grabbing one of Snowstorm's back legs and pulling her head out of the dirt. "You CAN'T!" he insisted. "Please, you can't fly! Out here, in these mountains, you could die with a bad tail! You can't maneuver!" For... What? The FIFTH time that day, he felt small tears prick the corners of his eyes for some reason, but he blinked those away quickly. "Please Snowstorm, stay here!" Pharaoh pleaded. "I... I can't loose you too."

Snowstorm had a very indignant look as she was pulled out. "Fine," she said after a while. "Just bring that arrogant jerk to me alive, so that I can kill him myself. And maybe a few times again afterward, just for good measure."

Pharaoh smiled. "Now THERE'S using your head," he said approvingly. "Maybe we can track him down from the last place you saw him... And if it's in the direction of the island, then we can stop by on the way. Of course... There's your tail to fix." Yep. Grabbing it hadn't helped, not at all, but at least it didn't look any worse than before. Maybe he imagined it... But that was unlikely. "Just let us help you, for once, alright?"

Snowstorm scowled, resting her head on her left talons and tapping the ground with her right ones. "Yeah, yeah, blah blah, rest up, don't strain yourself. I got that drilled into my head plenty of times by the guardians, and I wanted to rip their mouths off for how many times they did." She turned her angry blue gaze to the sky. "I last saw him flying over the sea, and he may have landed on the closest island."

Pharaoh gingerly poked the break with his talons, nodding. "We can head for there, then. The nightwing island's in that direction." He continued to prod the broken tail. "Hmm... Looks like a few of the vertebrae are fractured, and the ligaments are a bit frayed. How'd you land on it, exactly?" Pharaoh asked, slicing through the wrapping that held the meat around his shoulders in place and tearing off bits of it to bind the break with.

Snowstorm twisted around to cast a contemptuous look at her tail. "I landed on it tail tip first. Three moons, it sounded and felt horrible." She shuddered for a moment, then stood up and flexed her wings. "Maybe I should enchant a stone to heal bones. Then I can dig my own talons into his sorry skull."

[AGGUA!]

Pharaoh-
Pharaoh didn't respond to that, wondering if Terra already knew about Snowstorm's abilities or not. Instead, he said, "I'm sure you will, you're always the type to hold grudges." He poked the bones a bit more, sighing. The healing process was going to be a long and painful one, and he would hate to see Snowstorm, of all dragons, go through with it. She was always the one rushing around and getting all fired up. She didn't need a sore and broken tail. She'd HATE having limited freedoms for the time being. "We'll need to wrap up the tail... As for the ligaments, they don't seem to be too bad. They'll heal on their own time, but that could be..." He racked his brain. "A few weeks." He carefully slipped the wrapping underneath her tail, then over, wounding it around and around and trying to even out the break without hurting Snowstorm.

"A FEW WEEKS?" Snowstorm exploded, twisting around to give Pharaoh a look. "ARE YOU KIDDING ME? When we have NightWings to defeat? Hoooooo no, Sandy. I am NOT waiting a few weeks." She stormed over to a sandier part of the cliff, rummaging through the loose stones until she found a smooth, oval-shaped white one. She clenched her talons around it. "I'd rather risk losing a bit of my soul than to wait who knows how long."
