FireClan
Mudpaw shrugged,"Well he didn't have to point it out. I agree but I know how to hide it." The young tom began gromming his fur.

WaterClan
Whisperpaw rolled her eyes in exasperation,"Fireclan cat. Always think they are better because they can control fire." Flicking her tail she looked away and watched the others.

(Aww, thanks Rose. ^-^ Do you think depression contributes to your muse? x.x I've noticed that, too, about everyone's writing. But you beat me to it... 'Cause I'm lame... Thumbs up to everyone! Oh, I forgot...
@Willow: Yay for half days!!! Too bad they usually come with exams. xP My brain would be fried, too. So excited for Mudpaw's new crush! I wonder how Brightpaw will react...
@hdmwolf: Sure, you can rejoin. ^-^ I'll need forms, though. I know they're a pain but I have to know what to put on the front page.

Excuse my excessive lameness, everyone! >.< Life has been taking over...well...my life. As a result of my extreme lameness, Melodykit and Brightpaw's posts are supposed to fit before the argument between Ravenkit and Mudpaw.)

Meeting
(stupid name to be changed at a later date ;D)

~Melodykit~
New smells filled my nose, making me want to sneeze as the small pink scent receptor on the end of my face became overwhelmed. There were cats all around me, all ringed with different scents. I rubbed my nose with a paw, hoping it would alleviate some of the irritation. It didn't. Oh, well. "And good morning to you, Ravenkit and Melodykit." Upon hearing my name, my head snapped up, curious to see where the utterance had come from. Above me stood a long-furred brown tabby cat that was currently smiling down at me and Ravenkit. I wanted to say the smile was false, but I couldn't quite tell. There was definitely something hiding behind the tabby's expression. After a moment of such thought, I tried my best to smile at the she-cat that was looking down at me expectantly. It didn't feel much like I had thought a smile should feel, but it was enough to turn the watcher's gaze to Ravenkit.

~Brightpaw~
While Heathersong was addressing the kits, I thought it best to take a look around at the cats who were already present in the clearing so I could get an idea of the company Melodykit and Ravenkit would be in. Two angsty IceClan cats sat off to the side under the branches of a pine tree; though IceClan was infamous for its foul moods, a medicine cat and an insecure warrior would not challenge my young clanmates. The WaterClan deputy - Was it Silvertail? - sat in a patch of tall grass a little ways away, closing her eyes in relief. She was probably freaking out about the whole situation. The two AirClan chosen cats also stood a ways away, but it appeared that they were working up the courage to come over. Standing in front of me were the two RockClan cats, Whiterunner and Islandsong. I had learned their names as a kit from my dear mother; I couldn't remember what story the two warriors had been in, but it was no doubt a heroic one. Then over to my right I noticed two apprentices: Whisperpaw and Mudpaw. Whisperpaw was a serious but gentle WaterClan apprentice, and I had only talked to her on one previous occasion. Mudpaw was a FireClan apprentice and... Was he staring? The dark tom had averted his gaze by now, but had he been staring? At her?

(Ravenkit says it smells funny, Mudpaw yells at him, Whisperpaw scolds them both, and Silvertail realizes how ridiculous she's acting.)

~Heathersong~
The sudden outburst between the younger chosen cats stunned me for a moment, but I recovered in time to speak to them before the moment was entirely over. "Mudpaw, Ravenkit," I meowed, glancing between the two perpetrators. "We can't have any fighting." I turned to the FireClan apprentice, seeing as he was the cat to react so wildly. "If we are to work together, we can't bicker over trivial things. Ravenkit, you must learn to think before you speak. Mudpaw, he is younger than you, so you should not expect him to know as much as you. Whisperpaw, I know you were trying to help, but your comment was also unneccesary."

~Dirtpath~
I started when Emberclaw padded into the den behind me, but quickly stepped out of his way so he could see Lightwhisper. The words he spoke were so gentle and caring that I felt myself blush. Maybe the two warriors would be mates someday. I quickly scolded myself for prying into others' lives. It's none of your business, Dirtpath! I snapped silently. Remembering that Lightwhisper and I still had somewhere to go, I cleared my throat anxiously to see if the noise would draw their attention.

Meeting
FireClan
Mudpaw sighed and lowered his head. "Sorry,"he muttered under his breath. The brown tom looked down at his paws wishing the meeting would end. It was somewhat unnerving being around all these strange cats at the gathering place during daylight.

EarthClan
Emberclaw stood, his ears flicking uneasily. "Good luck Dirtpath. You are a good choice for this mission," he mewed to the other tom. He smiled before slipping back outside again. It felt good to be out in the opening and not in that cramped den. Sighing he sat down and began to lick his red fur as his thoughts roamed.

Sunclan/gathering

Ravenkit ducked his head as the she-cat spoke, his tail between his legs. He could feel authority in her voice as she spoke, gentle yet dismayed all at the same time. "Im sorry... No one was supposed to hear." He grumbled, a frown on his small face as he spoke, his eyes not meeting those of this strange she-cat. Very slowly, as if asking for permission first, Ravenkit let his rump grow gradually nearer to the ground, wanting to sit so badly after his long, early trek through the dawn-lit territories of Sunclan. His paws ached badly, as well as his shoulders, neck, and especially his back, due to the rabbit he had lugged the whole way up.

EarthClan
Lightwhisper's fur settled down at once when she heard Emberclaw's deep, familiar voice rumble through the den; it had barely been bristling in the first place. "Hey, you're awake," She averted her attention from Dirtpath and craned her neck in order to peer past the tabby warrior for a few moments. She hoped she hadn't imagined the barely-there tone of relief in his voice although Lightwhisper knew that she could never trust her ears. In fact, the EarthClan tom looking in from the den's entrance might have been merely a trick of her not-so-normal mind, but she neglected to adhere to that possibility. The injured warrior's mood improved even more when her friend meowed, "I was planning on saying bye when you left." Emberclaw strolled into the cramped den, being forced to stoop slightly so as to refrain from snagging his ears on the woven ceiling. He then promptly settled down into a comfortable sitting position. His lips mirrored Lightwhisper's subtle smile, and he spoke again, bidding the frail she-cat "Good luck." StarClan knew she would need it. . . Mistakes were few and far between by their starry ancestors, but they were possible, almost certain in Lightwhisper's case.

"I always knew you were special. Ever since we were apprentices." The large tom murmured tenderly after leaning in ever so slightly, revealing the softer side he only displayed in the company of a select few felines. For whatever reason, Lightwhisper's heart fluttered as he spoke that. Her irritation forgotten completely, the chosen cat's light green eyes shone gleefully; she was so grateful for someone to actually believe in her when she herself didn't think she had a chance. Lightwhisper inhaled Emberclaw's pleasantly earthen, somewhat musky scent slowly and breathed, "Thank you," Her words were softer than usual, but they were loud enough for the cat before her to detect. "I. . ." It took her a moment to collect her words within her head, but they were arranged into a fathomable sentence in a few heart-beats. "I'm so glad to have a friend like you," mewed the drowsy feline, her statement barely above a whisper. Her eyes crinkled slightly, and she felt compelled by a sudden impulse to explain her emotions through a language stronger than words. Lightwhisper used her good front leg to steady herself as well as her hind legs to propel her body forward gently; she pressed her small, moist nose to the red tabby tom's slightly larger, flatter one for a brief moment, their eyes probing into each other's for only the span of a heartbeat or two until the small white she-cat broke the light contact and returned to her previous curled sprawl in the moss.

An intervening grunt broke the silence, and Lightwhisper's gaze flickered to the source of the noise, an impatient Dirtpath. Emberclaw took the hint to rise once more and utter his parting words, "Good luck Dirtpath. You are a good choice for this mission," His lips danced with a short-lived, friendly smile before he slipped out of the medicine den. Lightwhisper's eyes lingered on the space where the cat she cared most about had inhabited a moment ago, and she turned her gaze almost wistfully to the other prophecy cat of EarthClan.

"So," she meowed wearily, her tone becoming as flat and dry as the plains of SunClan while she addressed her fellow warrior. "I cannot travel to Centertree on my injured leg. What say you as to the matter?" Normally, the female EarthClan cat would be much more shy and quiet, but the departure of her sole producer of happiness had reminded her of the day ahead, spoiled by the anxiety-inducing responsibility that accompanied being "special" enough to attend the meeting in the first place.

[[Yes, I am alive, as unfortunately as that may seem. . . Kidding! Of course. n.n; I appreciate the warm re-welcome, willow. :3 I wasn't aware that I was missed so much. . . And you always have great posts, willow -- quality over quantity!
You're certainly not lame, Tink. . . Well, perhaps a little -- kidding, again, obviously! >:'3
I would be thrilled if you returned, hd! It is, of course, up to Tink, but she's keen on the idea as well, I see. ^-^
Also, I apologize to everyone about my absence. . . I have had an extremely busy week [I'll tell you about it later, Tink. . .], and computer time has been exceedingly difficult to come across. In fact, I am typing this up on my friend's tiny, tiny laptop, which is somewhat difficult to type with because of it's minuscule keyboard and screen. Plus, I am not very adapted to laptops in general. . .
Did I do a decent job on cutting back on the fluff? It's under eight hundred words, which I was aiming to restrict to.]]

Meeting /// Water Clan

Silvertail looked up to the medicine cat, then to the apprentice and snorted, yawning. Her eyes were drooping as she fought to stay awake. A growl rose in her thorat, "Can we get on with this? I'm so tired I can barely stay awake!" Her neck fur bristled and her teeth were clneched tightly together.

((*bows down to Roses awesomeness* Ok that post was so awesome that words can't describe it. I enjoyed reading it and you portrayed Emberclaw so well! I am in total awe of you and....*faints from overload of Roses wonderful post* lol. Sorry I am tired and I kept VERY random. I have to write a bill about animal testing. I have to write a bill to ban it, write a two page persuasive essay, find three articles and highlight key parts, ask 20 people 5 questions I made up, and make pie charts and bar graphs. ALOT of research. Government class is hard.))
EarthClan
Emberclaw felt like he was not in his own body. His nose still tingled from Lightwhispers nose lightly touching his. It had been a small gesture but it felt like lightning shooting through his body. Green eyes slightly unfocused, he sat down and thought about what happened. As he remembered that lightwhisper had said that she was glad to have a friend like him, happyness coursed through his body like a wildfire. Only once had Emberclaw felt like this and that was seeing that strange DarkClan she-cat, but it hadn't been this intense. Sure he had been able to befriend lightwhisper even though she was known for not being as open as others but he never thought he would have these kind of feelings for her, especially now. Slowly his gaze wandered to the medicine cats den where he could make out her faint familiar outline. Instantly his heart beat picked up and it was so loud he was afraid others would hear it. The dark red toms eyes darted away from her and he concentrated on slowing his heart rate down. "I'm so confused....what should I do?" He asked quietly to no one in particular. Gaze sliding up to the sky he wondered what he was supposed to do and if he was doing the right thing.
((Ok I tried to add more detail and his feeling into this post. I think it's decent))

(I've missed you guys! It's CookieWolf :3, I shall post now)

Meeting

Shine light sat next to Gracepaw as more paw steps thumped the ground as cats from other clans entered the clearing. Her eyes scanned over the flat ground, she spotted a fire-red earth clan tom. She stood up slowly and padded over, "hi" she meowed in a shaky voice.
