SunClan's Story [New Thread]

The young tom padded after the two, catching up and matching their pace. He dipped his head to Eaglestar, pleased at her words. "I'm glad we were there." He meowed, flicking his tail as he walked. He was thankful the two cuts on his side were short, but they were deep. His shoulder made it painful to put weight on his right paw, but he managed and didn't say a word. He nodded at the medicine cat's words. She felt more like a Clanmate now too, and of course Eaglestar was already his wonderful leader. How he was glad she had survived. Despite his injuries, Raccoonstrike felt more assured as part of SunClan. Maybe it would work out.

Back at the camp, Appleleaf led the two injured cats into their make shift medicine cat den, already occupied by a sleepning Loudpaw. "What here, I'll go find Sprucepaw." She told the cats as she exited the den again. "Sprucepaw!" she called her apprentice from across the camp. Hopefully she'd hear her.

(I'll be going out too soon, but only for a couple of hours.)

Eaglestar sat down in the medicine cat's den. She began gently cleaning her wounds--some scratches on her head, side, shoulder. It felt like her side was bruised from when she had fallen on it. Out of the corner of her eye, she watched Raccoonstrike with concern. All her wounds were shallow--they stung, but should heal quickly. The scratches on the younger warrior's side looked deep, though it was hard to tell under his thick fur. She hoped he'd be alright.

Sprucepaw looked up. Hearing the tension in Appleleaf's voice, she rushed to find her mentor. She skidded to a halt in front of the she-cat. "What's happened?" she mewed, guessing something had gone wrong or some cat had got hurt. She blinked, spotting fresh scratches on her mentor's pelt. Behind Appleleaf, she noticed Eaglestar and Raccoonstrike in the temporary den. Her eyes widened at the wounds on each cat. What had happened to them?

Raccoonstrike nodded blankly, watching the medicine cat pad away. He slowly lay down and reached his head over to sniff at the injuries on his side. He lapped gently at them, ears flicking. His shoulder still ached, but the pain was quickly leaving, and it was only the cuts that hurt noticeably. He was thankful that the eagle hadn't wounded him anywhere else, excepting the superficial scratches that dotted his fur. He glanced over to where Eaglestar sat. He was quite glad she looked fine--maybe still a bit in shock, but not physically hurt. Severely, at least.

Stonekit looked at his tummy as it growled louder he had been without milk for a while now and was starving "well um i..im hungry" he meowed

Pineclaw snored quietly in the corner of the den; fast asleep, despite his best efforts.

Eaglestar stopped licking her wounds for a moment to look down at the small kit. "Hello there, little one." she greeted him. "Let's see if we can get you something to eat, alright? Have you eaten solid food before?" she doubted it, judging by his size. A kit this young needed milk, not prey.
