"If you don't try, how do you expect to learn?"
Wisepaw purred and curled up close to Wolfpaw so that they formed a ball of fur. She quickly fell asleep.
Wisepaw opened her eyes and sat up. She found herself in an open, star lit clearing. She looked around and saw nothing but dark forest around her. Where am I? she wondered and wrapped her tail around herself. Soon, a figure came out of the forest, his dusty brown pelt shimmering with stars. He.... he looks and smells so familiar... Then, it hit her. "Dustypaw!" A deep happiness overwhelmed her and she bounded over to her brother. He often visted her in her dreams. "Heheh, hi, Wisepaw! How have you been?" he asked, purring as Wisepaw wove herself around him. "I've been great! How are you? You know, up here, in StarClan. Are you doing ok?" she asked him, getting a little more serious now. A troubled look fell on Dustypaw's face. "I'm doing fine, but... he trailed off. "But, what, Dustypaw?" Dustypaw looked at her and sighed. "There's... something coming. Well, not really coming exactly, but..." he paused, "There is something that is going to destroy WishClan. A prophecy is coming. I myself cannot tell you what it is just yet, but I can tell you this. You, Wolfpaw, and Starpaw will be StarClan's gift."
"Gift?"
"Just listen. You three with be the only ones who will be able to stop it from destroying your clan. If you succeed, the clan will be safe and everything will go back to normal. But, should you fail..." Dustypaw stopped there. Wisepaw knew what he was going to say and just nodded in understanding. But now, Dustypaw began to fade. "I must go now, but I will see you again. Hopefully on a better occation though!" he chuckled then touched his nose to her ear. "Be safe, Wisepaw." Then, he stood. "Goodbye, Dustypaw." Wisepaw mewed simply. She knew the longer they took to say goodbye, the harder it would be. Dustypaw nodded with a smile, turned, and walked away, disappearing into the forest once more. Wisepaw became tired again and yawned. She laid down, closed her eyes, and fell asleep.
Her eyes opened to a den lightly lit by sunlight. It was almost twilight now. Have I really been asleep that long? Wisepaw yawned and lifted her head. She looked down at Wolfpaw and purred happily. Then, she laid her head on his back and closed her eyes once again.
