Spiderstar's whiskers twitched in amusement at his deputy's actions towards his apprentice. His attention was diverted after Duststorm had left and assigned another hunting patrol. As the other patrol approached, he pricked his ears. "Two hubting patrols? Excellent. You guys take the half of the territory near the thunderpath, well take the half near twolegplace," he said with a nod at Jaystripe. Then he turned back to Frozenheart, Littlehawk and Flamepaw. "Well check the borders for kittypets while were there," he said, then lead them out into the forest.

Her glittering amber eyes darting around, the pure white warrior trotted along behind the rest of the patrol, preferring to stay at the back then socialize in the middle. The she-cat sniffed the air, catching the smell of a mouse. "Hmm........Mouse......." Frozenheart's mouth opened, catching the scent of mouse again, but stronger. Her eyes darted to the side fast enough to catch a glimpse of the small, brown-furred creature darting by. The warrior's eyes narrowed, and she dropped to a crouch, letting the rest of the patrol go ahead. She began to creep up on the mouse, eyes narrowed, tail still, haunches flattened against the ground as far as she could go. The mouse was nibbling on a seed as Frozenheart leaped! The mouse darted away, and Frozenheart landed on the ground and darted after the furry animal. It was running towards a hole in a nearby tree. The pure white she-cat gritted her teeth, then leaped again, just hitting the ground in front of the mouse. Tiny, black eyes wide with panic, the mouse darted the other way, and Frozenheart leaped again, trying to control the power in her hind legs. The warrior had judged correctly this time, she landed on the mouse and quickly held it still and snapped its neck. The she-cat picked up the prey and stood up, a self-satisfied grin on her face. When the pure white warrior looked around again, she realized that the patrol had gone. Frozenheart dropped her mouse, then sniffed the air. "That way.....I'd better leave my mouse here...." The she-cat quickly dug a hole, dropped the mouse in it, then covered the hole with a rock and sniffed the air again, heading towards the scent of her Clanmates.

Mistypaw hovered around the fresh-kill pile, unsure of whether she was authorized to eat now if she hadn't yet hunted. The young she-cat was hungry, but too shy to admit it. She'd only just woken up, and had naturally looked for Robintail, but apparently he was on patrol. Mistypaw was a bit upset that he hadn't woken her to come with him, but then again he might have not wanted to disturb her.
Mistypaw finally headed out of camp, unsure of what for, but eventually decided on hunting. Maybe if she brought back a crazy amount of prey Robintail would give her her test already so she could be a warrior. She purred at the thought, wading into a river, her fur weighed down by the water. All at once, a flash of movement caught her eye, and she sprang out of the river in a great splash, a moment too late. The mouse barely escaped her claws, streaking beneath a bush. Mistypaw sighed in frustration and continued along the river, watching the brush for signs of movement.

He glanced at Frozenheart and when he looked forward again he could see the fence to twolegplace. It was neat and white and spanned to the river in one direction and farther than he could see in the other. He saw a flash in one yard and knew they had startled a timid kittypet. He had nothing against the soft bellied cats, but he never could understand why they were so terrified of the Clans. Nevertheless, they never ceased to amuse him. "Check the border," he said in a hushed tone to his patrol, heading there himself. Hed attempt to actually hunt when he was alone so he wouldnt make a fool of himself. They should be getting back soon, anyway. He planned for a warrior ceremony today.

The warrior's white ears flicked, catching Spiderstar's words. She nodded silently, padding forward quickly to reach the other cats on patrol. The she-cat sniffed the air. Seems like everything's alright, but we'd better check anyway......Frozenheart blinked. She thought that the kittypet had poked its head out of the fence. No, you're just having hallucinations. Stop daydreaming, you mouse-brain! The pure-white warrior thought firmly to herself.

A large tabby tom was hiding, completely hidden, in tall grasses, watching a bird flutter around. He was tempted to catch it for a snack, but he had eaten only an hour ago. He'd been sitting by a kittypet fence, hidden in the grasses, waiting for something. He stood and it flew off in fright. He flicked his ear, and blinked two very blue, bright and icy eyes. They looked like thousands of shards of ice in the sunlight. He stretched, and his muscles rippled. A huge, black tom with orange flecks was sitting by him, growling at a scar on his hind leg. The black tom licked it, trying to make it feel better, and the tom rolled his eyes. "Maybe if you hadn't talked back to Claw, you wouldn't have gotten that, Ember." The tom flashed a glare at the light brown tabby that had spoken to him. "Watch it Tigerstripe. I could rip you to shreds right here and now. I hardly said anything. Claw's just acting like a moody elder. I don't get it, I was just asking him why he needed so many of us on one patrol this morning."
Tigerstripe snorted and said, "Well, maybe because we don't know these lands."
Ember muttered something under his breath and continued to clean his wound. Tigerstripe sat straight, flicking his tail boredly. Then his ears swiveled towards the right of them. He spotted a silvery she-cat near them and narrowed his eyes. He nudged his comrade and Ember looked up irritably, but he blinked at the sight of a Clan can Warrior. He lowered himself to the ground and slunk to the sharp, ugly fence. Tigerstripe followed, but a little slowly. They were downwind, and had been assigned to spy on these cats anyways. He stared at her through the grass with piercing eyes.

Mistypaw streaked along the river, no longer paying much attention to the prey. She was heading toward the twolegplace when suddenly she spotted a TimberClan patrol, grouped around the fence. She recognized Jaystripe, and several others. "Hey, Jaystripe!" She called, bounding toward them, before realizing her mistake- obviously this wasn't just a friendly stroll. The gray she-cat stopped in her tracks, realizing that Seapaw was also in the patrol and blushing in spite of herself.
