Shade yelled rude words at the wolves, fighting his way towards his friends. They were going to kill Ink! His hero! Ever since Shade had been born, he'd looked up to the older pup, thinking of him as the older brother he wished he'd had.

Karrie licked the pup gently. "No, I am sorry. I could not protect you, just like I could not protect your father or grandfather."

When Shade broke free, he ran straight to Ink and Karrie. "Are you all right?" he called. Blood dripped from his mouth. Blood coated his fur, a mix of blood that was both his own and the enemies.

[Iceshimmer]

Codak sniffed Ink."What happened?"He asked Karrie.

[Bolt1784]

"W-What did you say?" Ink quietly asked. He was losing his hearing again.

Shade scratched into the dirt, He said, "Are you okay?" He knew that Ink was probably going to stay deaf this time. He felt bad that his brother was becoming even more helpless.

[Iceshimmer]

Codak's eyes narrowed. I can't believe I'm doing this....... The young male touched Inks head. A blue glow emitted from the wolf's body and blue sparks skittered across the wounds.

[Bolt1784]

"Ha ha, you got what you deserve kid!" One of the wolves laughed. "Not so full of fight now, are you?" He found it funny that Ink was probably going to die now.

"Y-You can't laugh at me and mean it, can you?..However m-much you hate someone, you can't laugh at their d-death. A real wolf doesn't rejoice over somebody's death. E-Even the most evil wolf around here was born in to this world with a good heart. A pure heart can be mangled when one grows up, but if someone had offered a hand before that, they would still be good inside. I'm doing my job now of offering a hand to you guys...You still have a tomorrow, a chance to start all over again. Don't dye yourself with hatred, you're power and strength isn't meant for revenge." Ink barked to the wolf, his voice getting quieter and quieter. He could only just faintly hear the wolf laughing, that was the only reason he had said that...

"You bastards are nothing compared to this pup. He died twice, and came back to save our butts! You would come back for personal reasons. Ink's heart has more purity than all your put together," Shade growled at the crowd. And one thing was for sure. It was true.

[Bolt1784]

"Thanks, Shade..." Ink weakly barked. "...But I guess I've got to go for good this time, If I live then I'll be paralyzed for the rest of my life, and I'd be no use to Shadow Pack..."
