At the sound of wings and rustling, Sylvard's ears swiveled towards it. There was life here. He released a sigh of relief, picking up the scent of cats. It was strong and very lively. He had to remind himself they could see him as an enemy. To be careful, he scaled a nearby tree and slipped along its branches to investigate the sound, but keep out of sight.

Homeykit smiled and padded down the rockfall quickly, back into the clearing, she darted to the medicine cat's den and sprang onto the ledge coming from the wall. She looked up and carefully whisked up to the highest ledge so that no one could see her unless they were trying to. She stayed silent
