Flash sighed, feeling that it was obvious why she was so connected to the pack. "Probably because you've been surrounded by these wolves for most of your life and it's all you've ever known. I don't think the first week of your lifetime spent outside of this pack will have much of an impact- your eyes and ears weren't even open until you got here." The she-wolf quickly darted upwards to scan the terrain from above the treetops, the dove back down again and began to slightly veer to the right as she adjusted course. Her silver eyes glanced upward at the sun, seeing as they still had plenty of time.

I stayed silent for a while. "Why is arcane such a rare and feared power?" (Arcane is what Silver, her father has)

{I don't want you to think I wasn't paying attention if you've mentioned this before, but there is a great time lapse between now and when Silver was brought into the RP so... If you don't mind... What is Arcane exactly?}

{Arcane is an old power, it's pretty much star power. It's very dangerous and bright. Dangerous 'cause it can make a huge explosion, set fire, etc.}

Flash flicked her ears up to the question and heaved a sigh. "Well, for one, wolves have a tendancy to fear things they don't understand. Since Arcane is so rare, the many whom don't have this power are afraid of the destruction it can bring when not handled carefully. Not to mention the fact that the power of fire is commonly feared as well, so some percieve Arcane to be ten times worse." Though the winged wolf could not provide a lengthy explanation as to why wolves lived in fear of this rare ability, she did her best to describe it. Being that Flash had the ability of lightning and electricity, she was well aware of how fearful some reacted to explosions. Since the she-wolf began to notice that at least half of the borders had been marked, she figured now would be a good time for the both of them to rest; that, and she didn't want Flame to become some submerged in conversation that she accidentally set something ablaze. So, she slowed her pace and spiraled to the ground, landing next to the small pup. "We can rest for a few moments before going on to mark the rest." She pursed her lips, narrowed her silver eyes, and gazed up toward the sky as she thought of the territory in her mind. "I believe we are halfway through..."

I nodded and laid down, closing my eyes for a short nap.

Flash yawned to release tension in her jaws as she stood watch over Flame. Though the pup was perfectly capable of defending herself, the winged wolf found in irresponciple to leave or scout ahead while the young one napped. So, she settled herself down onto her haunches and thought of what had happened earlier that day. What nerve Death has. She thought disdainfully. Invading my personal space, deserting his job as Beta Male to mark the borders, and calling me rude? She gave a snort. I am not rude! Just a hard worker! Not my fault that he can't handle being snapped at. Concluding that argument for now, she forced her mind to move onto other things, such as the old human trap she had gotten herself caught in. I still need to tell Snow about that... Her thoughts trailed off as two seperate rails for her train of thought merged. I suppose it may not have been the best idea to be so sarcastic and cold towards Death, since he went out of his way to free me from that trap when he could've left me dangling there... Oh well. I still think it's mostly his fault. Her mind grumbled like a child.

Flash's luminous silveer eyes darted to Flame as the pup began to groggily stir. "There isn't much furter to go now. I can take you back to camp and finish the rest on my own, as I feel you have learned plenty about the responsibilities of marking pack borders. Not to mention the fact that your parents are probably wondering where you are." The beta rose to her feet and lokked down at the smaller wolf. She knew flight would be better than going on foot, as it was quicker and made travel easier. So, Flash outstretched her feathery, gold-tipped wings and propelled her body skyward with a gravity defiant leap and flap. Now hovering above ground, she, once again, looked down to the pup and patiently awaited for Flame to also take flight so tbe two could travel back towards camp.
