Rootclaw purred, his eyes shinning with amusement. "So did she," He replied, nodding. "It was as big a shock to your parents, as what it is to you." Slowly, he lowered himself into a crouch, tucking his paws under his chest in order to come close to the kit's height. "Sometimes, things just don't go as planned. And we have to make do with it."

Ashkit grinned as she observed the kits for a few moments, then turned her gaze to the mother and laughed. "I'll make sure Darkstar gets my message!" She said before bounding quietly out of the nursery.

Pebblekit woke up and smelt a warm sensation of milk. She tilted her head in confusion, looking over to Thorntail and Russetleap and yawning. "What's going on?" She asked drowsily.

Rootclaw sighed, his ears pricking as the wind picked up, ruffling his assortment of brown shades, he called a pelt. Slowly his gaze fluttered to the other side of the bank, watching as leave frolicked among the grass, taunting one another as they got close, only to draw apart. "You have no choice," He muttered, feeling sorry for the new kits. They would hold nothing but admiration and love for their older sister, only to be greeted by, this. "Blood is blood." Gently he shuffled his paws, pulling them out from his formal posture, and letting them hang over their side of the bank, the water just reaching the tips of his toes. "Russetleap and Thorntail are going to need your help more than ever now, ya know?" He added, glancing briefly at her before turning back to the leaves, "The kits, will need you."


Russetleap purred gently as she watched Ashkit bound from the nursery, quickly turning her attention over to Pebblekit. "More kits." She whispered gently, nuzzling Thorntail and adding in a whisper, "More, perfect, kits."


Flamekit watched as Ashkit bounded from the nursery, and quickly hopped to her side, his eyes wide with worry as he began to bombard her with questions. "What happened? Why did you go in there? Did you get hurt? Are they ok? Did you get in trouble? Did they eat Pebblekit? Did you see her?"

Tigerkit sighed, plonking down in the dust. "I guess that means the game is over..." He mumbled half to himself, half to anyone who was around as he watched Ashkit disappear.

Cinderkit was playing with a little leaf as he heard the meows of other kits, he turned around and leaped toward the nursury and looked inside carefully.
"M-mum?.." he asked and walked in, he then saw some other kits and walked up to them.

Rosepetal layed under a willow tree by a small puddel and groomed her fur. She knew that a clan wasn't too far away but she didn't care much.
