Cloudgaze didn't seem to notice Rabbitfur's presence, too overwhelmed to pay attention to her surroundings right now. She didn't want to leave Mousekit to go question Icekit so she simply chose not to address that part of what Leopardstripe said and only meowed a soft, "I know." The little tom's body looked peaceful, as if he were sleeping, but the deep wound on his neck that ended his life told a different story. The queen buried her nose into her son's fur and squeezed her sightless blue eyes shut tight as she mourned the loss.
