He leapt after her, bounding to her side, and stretching his tail up as he opened his jaws for any whiff of prey.

As they padded along the path, Sandpaw casted a quick glance at him, 'Should I tell him about my feelings for him?'

He was sniffing around for prey, his green eyes glowing as they narrowed. His tail was swatting the ground as he walked, and he finally stopped, spotting the river, his irises gleaming. "There it is." He purred.

She got a bit nervous as the two stopped at the stream, "It's uh... very nice here, isn't it?"

"It is, isn't it? I remember placing the first border marker around here." He mewed, looking across the glittering water. "I was just a mouse-brained little kit back then. I still can't believe Cicadawing let me mark a border." He purred in amusement. "And your mother was carrying you around like a little moss-ball." He chuckled, remembering how cute a fluffy she was during the journey to the mountain territory. "Wasn't that long ago, was it?" He asked.

Sandpaw smiled, "It feels like just yesterday..." She gazed into the water, looking at both of their reflections, "We sure have changed a lot..."

"Yeah, changed." He mewled, feeling his heart twist. Both of the cat's parents died on the trip to the mountains, except for Foxpaw's father; He stayed in the old territory, accepting the twolegs and becoming a kittypet. Foxpaw was mainly confused on why he would become a kittypet, instead of venturing with his family. Now he doesnt even know if his own mate or son are alive. He sighed gently, but smiled again. "But mostly in a good way."

She pressed against him without thinking, treassuring the soft feeling of his pelt, "And we'll continue to change."

For once, Foxpaw felt comfortable with the she-cat against him. "Until the end of our days." He mewled, staring into the glittering liquid crystals of water. They reflected into his eyes as he watched the stream flow.

Sandpaw started to purr what she noticed he didn't pull away. She treasured the romantic moment, closing her eyes and letting the soothing sounds of the river soothe her mind.
