Nightshade sighs, before stalking back into the bushes. Her black fur gets swallowed up by the shadows, her form practically disappearing.

Finchflight slipped out of the nursery and glared at the new kit, who had apparently been brought to camp. She hissed in distaste, not caring about the other cat's opinions. "I say we cast it out. It's not our problem, and all it will be is another soft mouth to feed,"

Milknose ;; Milknose flinched as Flinchflight voiced her opinion, the queen's sharp tone of voice reminding her so much of her mother. She fought the urge to shrink in submission, not in front of so many cats. "Whatever happens to the kit will be Badgerstar's decision." Milknose meowed to her, surprised by how orderly she sounded, and here she was thinking that she speak like a weak cat mewling to it's mother. However, there was some truth to what Finchflight has meowed, this kit looked half-dead and Milknose didn't need a medicine cat's input to see it was weak, starving, and sick. The scrap would need a lot of herbs and prey to nurse it back to health, and StarClan knows how long that would be. No doubt in Milknose's mind that it'd be a soft-mouth.

Silverblaze stops as she hears the commotion near the camp entrance. She frowns slightly, her blue/amber eyes wide in curiosity. She walks over, her nose instantly catching a sick scent, and she instantly picks up the pace. "Whats going on?" She demands, looking from cat to cat.

Finchflight pricked her ears and bounded over to Silverblaze. "They found a half dead kit," she hissed, pointing her tail in that general direction,"And think they can save it by taking it into their Clan,"

Silverblaze frowns slightly at what Finchflight said. "Hm..." She mutters, rather in thought, as she thinks about how she should handle this. Making up her mind, she dips her head to the queen before trotting over to said kit. If she knew it wouldnt make it she wouldnt try. If it had a chance she would attempt to save it.

Winterfeather padded over to the cats surrounding the kit and nudged them away. "Everyone, do
stand back. Please. Give the kit some room." She turned to Finchflight, eyeing the she-cat with a
look of discomfort. "Please go do something better worth your while. Throwing insults at a young
kit is nothing more than a pile of mouse-dung." She mewed strictly, turning back to the cats. The
she-cat looked at the medicine cat with trust. "Could you take the kit back to your den? If there is
anything you cat do to help a cat in need, you should do it. We all should." Winterfeather mewed,
loud enough for the rest to hear.

Badgerstar: With the gathering around the new arrival.
"Well said Winterfeather." Badgerstar meowed, his brow deeply lined with thought. They had plenty of queens in the to help fatten the little thing up, but it'd need a lot of care and time. Coldfoot had been a kit not from the clan, and he had been a valuable asset in his time, simply because the leader had allowed him to stay. Who was he to cast a tiny life away. he could understand finchflight's upset, but the clan wasn't exactly struggling, they would be enough to go around with just one little mouth to feed. "It is against the warrior code to abandon a kit in need, no matter where they're from. We'll take them in for now, and do what we can."

Coldfoot: Talking with Sageleaf outside the elders den.
Coldfoot could hear her trying, he knew he was difficult, but simply couldn't bring himself to be anything else. He flickered his ears and turned his attention to where he thought the medicine cat's den was. "I don't see the need to waste herbs on my mood, I'd never forgive myself if there was a greater need soon after." He muttered, resting his head on his paws in a defeated manner. Poppy seeds might be easy to come by, but he meant what he said.

Silverblaze frowns a bit at the kit bundle, giving it a quick sniff. "At least its new leaf. Their should be plenty of herbs and such around, so thats a good thing as well," she adds to Badgerstars comment. She then takes the kit herself from the warrior that found it, heading towards her den. She should get started now anyways. The poor thing mainly just seemed to be hungry and tired, but did have a faint temperature.
