"No use waiting." Ghostflight's mew shook. She started off down the short tunnel, and found a brilliantly lot pool at the bottom. She lay beside it, paws dangling in the water, and closed her eyes.

Kestrelstar settled next to Ghostflight and dropped his paws into the water as well. He fell asleep.

When Ghostflight awoke, she was surprised to see so many cats she knew. Violeteyes...Specklepelt...Skystar...Glidewing...Cinderfrost... "Moonstar!"

The past leader padded forward.
"Ghostflight, your path, like that of Tallstar and others before you, has lead you beyond boundaries. Stay strong; never falter." He touched his nose to her's.
"With this life, I give you sight. Use it well to see the invisible line between right and wrong."
The leader stepped back. "Give the kits my regards." He murmured before turning and padding. Instead of joining the line, Ghostflight was sad to see him disappear. There was a sinking feeling in her heart-this was not her, and her Clan's, StarClan. This was theirs, not hers. She would not walk with them here...with her mother.

Cinderfrost padded forward next. She touched her nose to Ghostflight's forehead, her blue eyes shining brilliantly, and meowed, "With this life, I give you protection. Use it to protect your Clan as a mother protects her kits, and to defend what you know is right." She stepped back and flashed the pale tabby she-cat a reassuring smile before bounding off.

Petalfur walked up to Ghostflight and pressed her nose to the she-cat's. "With this life, I give you compassion. Use it well to help those in need and work hard to solve their problems as if they were your own."

Ghostflight was still recovering when a new, gentle feeling rocked through her. The last form Cinderfrost had sent a wave of pain so strong she was rocking on her paws. Now this feeling calmed her. "W-Who are you?"

"Petalfur," the dusty-gray she-cat meowed. "I was once Kestrelstar's mentor."
