Navy's head rose and her tail thumped against the ground.

Rowan looked at him, licking his cheek.

Navi laid her ears back and stopped breathing at Dakota's sudden loud laugh.

Star nudged her reassuringly and Navi's breath came back. She licked Dakota's muzzle. "Shh my love." she said softly and sweetly.

Nifty's stump/tail started wagging.
