Feather nodded.Then paused for a moment."Can I go back one last time?I have a friend there.His name is Frosty.He might want to join to.", she mewed hopefully.

JayChaser thought a moment. "Of course," he replied. "But once you officially join you cant go back again."

"Alright", she mewed.Feather decided to leave as soon as she could.

Whitepaw nodded and barked. "What are we waiting for, then? Let's go!" She began to trot to the entrance of the camp, hoping the others would follow her.

The white-and-black-spotted she-cat, of course, followed her patrol companion. She didn't find it hard to follow the she-fox, as she had been trained from her beginning of apprenticeship to keep up with the other species. Rushingpaw admired the lady's size, as Whitepaw, and the other foxes in her camp, could easily navigate through the forest practically without fear, and could jump over large rocks easily, etc. "So, where are we patrolling?" She asked, after a few seconds of silence.

The male fox, now burdened with a fat, white rabbit, padded in a totally new direction. The bundle bumped up against his chest from time to time, ruining his steady lope. Finally, he stopped to dig a hole, and drop the animal in it. Crookedsmile nosed a pile of rotting leaves over the hole. Hopefully, that would cover the scent. "I really need a hunting partner," he muttered to himself, fluffy tail flickering behind him. He should have asked.

"Well, Hunting-Patrolling." She said, before making a sign with her tail for the others to keep silent. She dropped on a crouch and stalked a small rabbit, that saw her a second late. She killed it with a single bite. "Well, that's a good beginning." She said, burying it.

JayChaser nodded to Feather and left camp. The green trees let speckles of sunlight through and dappled the deputys gray coat. Soon he found CrookedSmile and dipped his head in welcome.

Cloverpaw padded out of camp. Where could she find poppy seeds again? She remembered that she could get catmint near where twolegs lived, but she needed poppy seeds too. With a sigh she padded towards the river, poppy seeds could wait.

Rushingpaw watched as Whitepaw stalked forward, and re-appeared suddenly with a little white rabbit. "Good catch!" She mewed, her tail high in the air. Her nose quivered as she sniffed the air, and she just barely caught the scent of mouse. She pin-pointed it, and picked forward carefully. Just as she saw the tiny brown animal, it dashed off. "Oh!" She hissed softly. "Oops. I took too long." Rushingpaw seemed disappointed, but her mind-set changed a few seconds later. What was one piece of prey?

Crookedsmile grinned broadly, welcoming the deputy with a dip of his head. "Hello there, JayChaser!" He greeted, which seemed unlike his character. Nothing was bugging this fox today, one could note. "Should we get going?" He asked the tom-fox.
