Wings of Fire: The Darkest Hour (Not Accepting)

Flicker shivered as she traversed the eerily familiar mountains she had been banished from. Crouching low to inspect a track, she sniffed at it, then moved on. Peering around the corner to discover a goat, which she was very grateful for, she lashed out with her claws. It let out a fierce baaaaaaaa when they pierced it, but they died off quickly and she was left to enjoy the meal.

((Anyone can hear the goat or follow her tracks or something.))

Sappire gulped and nodded. " He's gonna come back, i can tell." She shivered, just thinking of the way he snatched that egg from her in mere seconds. She quickly blinked away tears, looking down at Inferno." I think he wanted the egg so they would have an unstoppable weapon. The war would be lost quickly with a firescales in the nightwing's hands."

The sea wing nodded "well then let's put him in the cave its eazy to defend and they can't just snatch him then if someone if guarding it every second." She said looking at the tiny dragonets.

Everest started to beat harder until he was flying in sink with rocket "well it it true? " he asked his voice calm as he looked at his brother "was there a red egg in the same nest as yours?"

Pathfinder let out a sigh of relief as a ray of sunlight broke through the darkened clouds, while a steady shower still fell. It created a faint rainbow that, from high above, made a perfect ring. He frowned as he spotted a glint of goldenrod scales far below, and a dragon chasing a loud mountain goat, then successfully killing the animal. What's a SandWing doing out here? Curious, he silently swooped down, landing in the shadow of a jutting rock ledge and sitting, eyes intently watching her. He probed her mind to get some information. Flicker. SkyWing and SandWing hybrid. Grew up here, but was banished. Interesting.

Inferno chirped quietly in his sleep, spreading his small wings as if he were flying in his dream. He was tumbling around in a bright sky filled with clouds, which seemed to be solid enough to stand on, and he was with his brother, playing around. He made another small chirrup noise, head still resting on Sapphire's forearm.

Ember lifted his head. he didn't like having no warmth. He wriggled closer to Sapphire, before drifting off again. This time, he dreamed of simply white. and he was Cold. He shivered, wanting warmth.

Inferno yawned, sleepily opening his blue eyes. He was a little disappointed his happy dream was gone. He stretched his forearms, then snuggled close to his brother, a strong heat warming Ember. He drifted off to sleep again, this time dreaming of him bouncing through the mountains they were on, a bright sun lighting a clear sky and a few birds squawking overhead. Inferno squeaked happily and reached towards them, but his dream suddenly began to grow dark. The bright sky was replaced with the smooth, grey walls of a corridor, and at the end was a narrow entrance to a round room brightly lit with torches. The firescales dragonet tilted his head curiously as a massive black dragon loomed above him, examining him with cold, yellow eyes. They drifted to his pyrite necklace, then back to his face. "Hmm. Sad," she said with a voice tinted with scorn and dripping like icicles. "We'll have to do something about you, if you'll be any use. Soon, small dragonet. Soon." And suddenly the looming shape was gone, and he was thrust back into the dream he had before.

Ember didn't like the dreams he had. He was always.. cold. He trudged through the empty whiteness, looking up at the dark grey clouds. Suddenly, he felt.. warm. He stayed still, hoping the warmth would stay. He awoke, feeling his brother cuddling up next to him. oh. Sapphire was gone. Where?He thought, getting up, looking around the cave." Awrk!" He yelled, looking around for the bigger body that he was always cuddled up next to."Awrk?" He wandered, every one and awhile chirping or 'awrk'-ing to try to find her. He wandered up to Snowstorm, looking up at her, with his pale, yellow eyes. "Awrk?"

Sapphire sighed and looked back at Jelly." can you watch over them? i need to go hunting." She carefully placed Inferno's head down, And stood up, stretched, and walked to the cave entrance." I'm going hunting, be back soon." She called over to the other dragonets, before taking off. She soared high, enjoying the wide open spaces. She turned and did a flip, before seeing a sandwing.Wait, a sandwing?She thought, approaching the newcomer slowly. She landed near the sandwing."hello. The name's Sapphire, and i won't hurt you."

Jelly nodded and brought the small dragons inside the large cave she looked at them and made a few funny faces trying to make them smile at the side of the cave she saw a larg feather she walked over to get it and gave it to the small dragonets. "Looks like there asleep " she thought before curling her tail around them and putting her wing over them to block out the fading sun. She didn't sleep she only watched the cave.

Ripping off a chunk of her meal, Flicker, with her heightened SandWing senses, detected another dragon around. Dropping the goat, she whirled around, crest flaring, to discover a male, greenish NightWing studying her. "Who're you?" she growled. Flicker narrowed her oddly blue eyes and bared her sharp white teeth.

Pathfinder twitched his tail, green eyes still examining Flicker. "I can ask you the same question, SandWing." He had to make sure no-one suspected him of mindreading. "Why are you so far from the desert? We're practically on the sea."
