Cloudpaw's head snapped up from her grieving, but for her sister, she kept calm, "Well, I guess you can't here the other side of the story, since she's DEAD" Cloudpaw hissed the last word, and as fresh grief washed over her, she leaned into Ashpaw, knowing they both needed each other's comfort.

Goldenpaw walked past cloudpaw. "cool it! I didn't have that much training then. In fact, none at all. She told us she was okay, and that wasn't our fault! I would have treated her if I could! "

Cloudpaw sighed, "Yea, I know, and I'm sorry, it's just really hard... she was the only family I had left, and now I'm alone again."

"you know me and all of the other apprentices will be your pals." he said. "we all felt her death. And it was a shock. But we'll all move on. Just like we all did with nightlight - the only family i had left. And, before you guys ask, I don't see bloodWolf as family. "

Cloudpaw nodded blindly, though she didn't know who Nightlight was. She just shook out her fur, stood up and dipped her head to Goldenpaw and Blackpaw. "You dont ever truly move on without them." she murmured as she padded out of camp to clear her mind of some things. She climbed a nearby tree, and a mouse scuttled nearby. She pounced out of the tree and landed on it, crushing its back, and killing it instantly. She hunted for a while after that, but only caught a you rabbit that was stuck in a thorn bush. She took a lap from the stream, then moved on back to camp. She set down the two pieces by Ashpaw, "You pick which one you want." she murmured.

"Curses?" Ashpaw whispered to himself after hearing what the other apprentices were talking about.That describes my life pretty well he thought to himself. The Tom continued pondering over the chance he might be cursed until he was snapped out of though by the leader's touch. He jumped a little as the Fernstar's tail brushed his fur and moved away slightly to try and avoid it. Ashpaw ignored her soft words trying to calm him and her footsteps as she slowly walked away. The cat noticed that Fernstar's presence was soon filled with another cat's and quickly looked over to see who it was. The apprentice didn't know who the cat was but presumed from the grief in her eyes that it was Squirrelpaw's sister. His suspicions were confirmed when the she-cat started talking about how the dead apprentice was her only kin. The tom noticed her leaning against him and moved a bit, trying to avoid her touch. As the she cat continued trying to lean on him he eventually gave in. Ashpaw actually listened to her words and found himself finding comfort knowing that she was feeling the exact same anger, grief and bitterness that he was. Ashpaw agreed with her comment about Goldenpaw and anger filled him when Blackpaw came to defend the med cat apprentice and when Goldenpaw himself said he didn't have enough training and that all the apprentices would be their 'pals'. He didn't say anything to them though but instead shot them a death glare. Ashpaw ignored everything after that until the she cat laid a rabbit and a mouse in front of him. "I'm not hungry. But thank you anyway" he meowed quietly

Dawnflower slowly made her way to the camp tunnel. She needed to get away from the saddness so thought hunting would be a good idea. "Anyone want to got hunting with me?" She called out.

OOC: I am really sorry I haven't posted in ages! I was taken on a suprise vacation and then had a big equestrian competition after so I was a bit busy.

Rosedust smiled softly before laying her head on his shoulder. Although her smile was soon replaced with a frown. What are you doing!? You already had a mate, Firefur! She looked up at the white Tom and sighed slightly before looking down at her paws and shaking her head. No! Rosedust thought, growling slightly. If Firefur really loved me, then he wouldn't have left me all alone in the camp... He would have come back for me...

Sorrelpaw winced slightly as she heard the argument breaking out between the apprentices. Fernstar could have chosen a rightful apprentice. She's only a kit. She lowered her ears slightly. They blame me. It's my fault, isn't it? She would have gotten herself treated if she wasn't mad about Fernstar choosing me as her apprentice... No, stop thinking that way, Sorrelpaw! You aren't a kit anymore, and Fernstar picked you for a reason. This isn't because of you, no matter what they say.
