Silentpaw would nod approvingly at Ghostflight and then turn back to the other cats, "Alright, Thrushpaw and I will watch over Ghostflight for now, until he can prove to you all that he can be trusted. This also means that nobody tries to cause bodily harm to Ghostflight, I'm looking at you Bramblewind"

“I will not hesitate to harm him if he causes trouble Silentpaw. And you can not stop me” I snarled at the apprentice “he will never be able to be trusted. Never”

"He's a kit!" she yelled at her former mentor. "Not everyone is your mother, Bramblewind. He was alienated by his mother and was told he was a murderer. What do you expect? Do you want him to be nice and respectful? Huh?"

I turned to my former apprentice “You have no idea what my mother is like! You have no idea what I’ve been through! You have no idea of the painful memories she left me! You think that this kit isn’t like my mother but you never really knew her. This kit is a replica of her; he’s power hungry and wants to hurt us.” I realized that I was falling apart but couldn’t help it. These cats just didn’t understand. I looked over at my mate, who was staring at me wide-eyed. Was that fear I saw in her gaze? Was she afraid of me now? I hoped she knew that I would never do this to our kits. I gave up on Owlkit and went back to sleep

Brokenwillow: I ran to where I had last seen Rowanscar; confused at seeing the eyes of her apprentice in a newborn kit. I found her and Burningleaf “What happened?” I asked. They looked sad and I saw why. On the ground in front of them was Ghostpaw’s body (I know it’s Ghostflight but Brokenwillow doesn’t know that) I remembered something like this happening when I was a new warrior in the dark forest. “Ghostpaw is not dead” I declared. I knew that the eyes I had seen had truly been Ghostpaw’s.

Silentpaw let out a sigh of relief, though she decided she shouldn't let her guard down, especially since now she knows that Bramblewind is a potential threat to Ghostflight.
